Cut back of cubby door for gauges?

I'm thinking of trying to fit a couple gauges into the cubby where a stock nav would be located if originally equipped.

The door seems hallow and a dremel would make short work of it. I'd like to be able to close the door and have the gauges hidden when not in use.

Thought I'd check to see if anyone has tried......

Thanks,

George

Thanks for the response. Like you said..... Close but not quite. Worked on it today a bit. It's going to be close cause the depth of the gauges.

I will be doing something similiar, but instead of guages, I would like to place a small digital display in the flip-up lid if any will fit.

Damn Lance, quit smoking that stuff and spinning on your head. I was up there on business when I picked up your intercooler.

I work in Mussissippi but have a daughter in Nashville. Luckily I can split my time between the two.

How is your G? I haven't seen any updates in a while

Nice thread. Were you pointing out redundancy or options? There are several diff. Solutions shown but I didn't see where anyone cut into the cubby door.

another place you can hide stuff is the sunglass compartment, pretty simply to run the wires and you can open/close on demand. I've got my AVC-R tucked away in there
