That $4000 is just the tip of the ice berg. You'll end up spending at least $4000 more before you're done. Then you'll start playing and spend more money... If you think I'm joking, start keeping ALL of your receipts and post back.

Avalon Racing has it for $4017 (satin). Be sure to go to the Vortech website to download their $100 rebate form. So the total would be $3917. I just ordered one from Avalon.

AVALON RACING: I purchased mine there and had it installed & tuned there as well. Best price I found at the time and very good customer service.

I got mine from Avalon back in the summer. Paul was very helpful and I bought a JWT flywheel and clutch also.

If you were to stay with the stock boost which never happens cause you'll be addicted to boost but if you were to stay with the stock pulley:Originally Posted by GeeCoupe
So how much is REALLY needed?
$4000 - S/C
$500-800 - 3 Guages
$800-$1100 installation of S/C & guages
$250-$400 Tuning
I say between $5700-$6300 with just bolting on the S/C an leaving it but that will never happen, you can expect to get 350-370whp with good tuning.
but then you be addicted and get a bigger pulley, exhaust, plenum, headers, return fuel sysytem, etc......and then more tuning, so expect to spend around $10K+ depeneding what parts you go with

I agree with damen,
- If you are going to spend that much mind as well spend a little more and get a TT setup so later on you can get more boost out of your car.

I suggest you check out the www.my350z.com website in the FI section. Someone just posted that they blew their engine at a moderate boost and RPM with the Greddy TT kit. They had only been running the kit for 5000 miles. I've been told by a tuner that turbo is harder on the engine than SC. So, if you want turbo, you're better of with a built engine. Turbo kicks in harder in a peaky way at higher RPMs unlike the smoother and cooler boost of an SC.
