I hope I do not need to get it inspected. And yes it is valid for the 07 coupes with the vq35de engines. For those who has the vortech on their 07, you can either send your charger in and have it restamped or they can send you a sticker.

I have a question. I just looked at the CARB document that you've referenced and it does say 2005-2007, but there's an asterisk after 2007 => *Excluding 2007 engine test group 7NSXV03.5GAE. I know that for the 2007 model for the 350Z it has the HR motor and I am wondering if that's the motor (HR) they are excluding. I would contact the CARB just to clarify that.

The CARB document also states 3.33,32T/28T. Since you have a Rev-Up Vortech set up, doesn't Rev-Up Vortech have 3.12,34T/32T? Would the State Ref be able to fail you on that technicality?

vortech said that the 3.33 listing was fine. They also said that the exclusion is for the HR motor on the sedan and 350z.

Also. For those who have a vortech without the D-213-27 sticker, YOU MUST HAVE IT.

Stated in D-213-26: http://arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/de...o/D-213-26.pdf

On page 3, it stated that D-213-25 has been replaced and is no longer valid.

Good luck man, I have never been to a ref. but the stories I hear are not always nice.

Looks like you have everything you need to write this off and be back on the road

You still get cited for that. ie... people drive cars with lic plates from CA and a license from Oregon (mainly undocumented people here in SoCal, because they don't check immigration status there) but they live here.

I got a ref ticket once and there are ways around it (PM me if you want more details).

OP, If I were you take the car to a licensed smog shop and get a smog certificate...you should pass if the Vortech is Carb Legal... (DO NOT GO TO THE REFEREE whatever you do!)...make sure you bring the carb sticker /certificate from Vortech with you to the smog shop. From there bring your smog cert to court on your appearance date and it should be case dismissed. If you want more details PM me.

the thing is that I know for sure my car is legal. Since my court date is in September and the dumbass cop wrote 24004 V C advisement, I wont be able to drive my car until the case is dismissed or the so called "violation" is corrected. I'll take my chances at the ref. It's at 8:40 am tomorrow.
