All I have for cooling is a after market tranny cooler inline with the stock one. The tranny has a transgo valve body on it also. The motor is all stock except some bolt-ons. The car is a 06 with 60,000 miles on her, been boosted for about 10-11k now.

My kit has finally shipped out so I can finally start fishing for the extra parts I need. Btw Ive got 50k miles on an 06 at coupe, looking to make something close to 400.
so far I have:

Vortech V2, 2.87 pulley+gtm mod (used, w/ new gates belts)
Mtdn 5/16 spacer
Stillen true dual cat back
Stock cats
WB fuel pump

Will get:
Injectors (was thinking 440 but prob 600)
pre-tapped Oil pan spacer
Uprev MAF GT
a/f, boost, oil pressure gauges (should I get oil temp/tranny temp instead?)

possible upgrades for the future:
Vb upgrade
Oil cooler
Tranny cooler

Will be osirus flashed/tuned by r/t in the northeast.

Let me know if you guys have any comments, criticisms, suggestions. Thanks

Everything looks good, I would stick with those 3 for the gauges. (AF, Boost, Oil Pressure.)
Don't need the oil cooler on an automatic, but would try to get the valve body done asap as it prolongs the life of your transmission and makes for a much better driving experience boosted. You might want to try running the kit with a 3.13 pulley on, a ton of people are making great power with the 3.13, myself included. Good luck!

Tranny cooler is a must and I would also get 600cc injectors. Now if you have the money now get the valve body done ASAP. A good thing to have on a boosted auto is a tranny temp gauge. Mine came handy soo many times. You will be fine with the 2.87 but you should think about getting some high flow cats or test pipes for the best power out of it. The vortech will blow out your stock cats in no time and then it will sound like ****.

Happy boosting

I think you would be running 440s at a pretty high duty cycle w/ a 2.87, best to go with the 600s. Gives you room to push more power in the future as well.

Thanks threatcon! As far as the valve body upgrade goes, I could do it if i had to, but I'd like to keep some emergency money around b/c I am not working right now and will be done with school at the end of the year. VB itself seems relatively cheap, but the labor looks like it could get pricey.

If you are going 2.87 and not using the FMU setup, 440 cc injectors will not be up for the task.

So heres the final list:
Vortech V2, 2.87 pulley+gtm mod
Mtdn 5/16 spacer
ART pipes
Stillen cat back

WB fuel pump
DW 600cc
AAM oil pan spacer
Uprev MAF GT
Defi Boost/Oil Pressure
Innovate LC-1 wideband

Plan to install with a few buddies of mine towards the end of april and then headings over to Vince at R/T. Any suggestions on where to weld a bung on the ART pipes for the wideband sensor?

Weld as close to the engine end as possible.

Got room in your emerg funds for a new tranny? Cooling that fluid ought to be a priority.

Not working and in school till the end of the year... 700 bucks for a transgo is going to cramp your emergency funding? 2.87 on a Non revup?

Kid, you got *****.

I do have the funds for a new tranny if It needs to be replaced. I am back in school for my post bach degree and while $700 is certainly not much compared to replacing the transmission or engine, I'd like to wait until I am finished with school if possible. I have a good amount saved up but it's not fun to be a student for the second time around with nothing coming in while all of your friends are adding to their pots.
There is also the issue of what shops in nj can be trusted to do it..lots of sketchy "tuning" shops here. They're pretty much audio places that will install intakes for teenagers. Do you want to come out here and help me do it?
Correct me if I'm wrong but if keeping Fluid temps down is going to be a challenge, should tranny fluid and oil coolers be next on my list before the transgo?
