Makes me wonder if maf is based on electrical resistance of air by volume (maxing out around 5v)- would humidity of the air play a part in where failure occurs?

I imagine in some small part, yes. But not sure to what degree.

Then again, I'm about as far from an electrical engineer as you can get. About the extent of my electrical expertise is: "Electricity runs on smoke... if you touch the wrong two wires, you let the smoke out. And then sh*t stops working."

I was just thinking about this today. Glad somebody asked. Saved me $300. Hell yea!

Gonna keep the stock sensor for now since I'm only shooting for ~380whp Thanks Silver

Jon at Z1 tunes mine, and he said "we'll tune it on the stock MAF. If we blow past it's limits, we have the UpRev MAF in stock."

I didn't need it, but they had it just in case I did.

somehow i have my stock MAF and have 571whp. Fully built stage 1 motor and upgraded 700bb JWT tt with heir flywheel and clutch, running on the Split second box that came with it.

Unless they changed the maf, didnt tell me, and did it for free lol.

Dyno video to prove.

so should i get the hps? it will work with my ss box fine im sure. But id really like to get osiris, except i was told id need to switch my 550cc injectors and 255lph fuel pump to 1000cc and 400lph as well as new fuel rails.

any input? Seymore has been awesome, just also curious as to anyone elses first hand.

My car has a misfire code and in full throttle it hiccups and kinda bucks from fuel cutting off it seems like, the AF meter drops below 10 and the lines on the screen comes up. please help lol. PM me please if you dont mind.

ty in advance!

I don't know how you're making that kind of power on the stock MAF. Also with 550cc injectors, a wahlbro, and no return? No way you're getting enough fuel to run those power levels safely. Whoever buit your car is either an idiot or just plain ignorant

I was about to say how can 550cc injectors even maxed out support 571whp?

I don't think someone like this really knows what went into their car...I mean even the sig says stage 3 but all the posts say stage 1

Sounds like when my charge pipe separated on The passenger side. Worth a shake on your piping across The board before you flood a cylinder.

I just had the same thing happen on my 700bb. I have the 350z version of the kit but I'm told that pipe over The front p side wheel well is prone to separation.

A quick shake was all that was needed but I thought it was something deeper so never even checked. Drive to The shop and came close to flooding the cylinder. I barely even know what I just said but the sub 10 afr I was getting supported the possibility.

Good luck

Okay glad I wasn't the only one picking up on it. I know less than most but in one thread he's saying "reliable daily driver just under 650 at lowest boost setting" then I see 570 something on highest boost setting, a thread hijack on an afr / engine hesitation concern followed by a separate thread.

I'm just excited to pass on lessons learned but yes something is amiss.

Ian you're forgetting the most important part... 570whp on 550cc injectors and a Wahlbro 255... Lol

Oh no man I was all over it.

And somehow Osiris needs him to change to 1000cc injectors and 400 pump to support his power claims while this ss box has been contended by nearly half that?

There was an annecdote that I really enjoyed about how if you ever found yourself lost in the woods-just pull out a deck of cards and start playing solitaire... Because it never takes long for someone to find you and tell you where you should put that 4 of diamonds.

Now I think the way I will tell it is if you find yourself lost in the woods just shout out loud that you have a 700 kit and make close to 600hp on 550 injectors and a 255 fuel pump and watch the masses plow down the trees to correct you

Jesus. Q16 (and yes I know what that is... NOW) AND 550cc injectors? Jesus- no Dyno is safe!

If dynos had children I would shelter them in the basement until this blows over.

The best part about this thread is that Eno and I are the only two who know the extent of his quest in search of MOAR POWARRRR from his VQ... in short the extent of his trials and tribulations... lol

this thread is becoming very full of win
