That's just pointless. And I'd be surprised if it was 3.5", there's not much room for 3" even let alone bigger. Not saying it isn't, just more likely its 3" and you are mistaken

I'm confused dude. You post a picture of a 240 next to a supra, and nothing else, and expect for that somehow to translate into, what, exactly?

The picture you linked doesn't even show a single exhaust picture on ANY car at all, let alone the exhaust on your G35 or his 240
Neither do any of the pictures in the album it's from.

Anyways, since you're just trolling it seems, what exactly is the deal here, your buddy swapped a 2jz in his 240? Are you planning or have a 2jz in your G35?

Is your car boosted with a massive turbo and 4" intake like his 240 is?

If you're trying to elude to something, you are kind of failing, lol

What are you, a talking burrito? Try to form a sentence if you're going to post here.

I found one part of your post that was almost coherent enough to be understood.
And it's ridiculous, because you have no idea 'what I'm pushin', and even less idea how much I've spent to get there.
You also have NO IDEA how much your work will cost because it's no where near done. And you have NO IDEA what it'll be 'pushin' because it's NO WHERE NEAR DONE.

And keep talking crap about something you know nothing about. Including your own car.

P.S. Real men have 6 gears.

I have a 3" single on ,y turbo setup. Love it. I would never go to a dual unless I had twins. In which, case, I would add a 3" piping to that turbo. As for loudness, I had some droning, but I just pt sound deader everywhere and have not re started the car yet I will have to let you kow

people like us?

i dont think you can have a reputation with under 100 post.

im not picking a fight, just saying and proving

every post can be manipulated into somethinng not intended.

lol

to stay on topic. I ran the AAM 3 inch and it sounded the best of any exhaust ever. one 3 hour trip in traffic and my head hurt so bad I almost removed it on the side of the raod. lol

The borla 2.5 is one of the best exhaust for both worlds. Its quiet on the highway, and even when getting on it, the exhaust sounds as if its behind you..like a car length behind you, not in your back seat screaming at you. This is on stock block, APS turbos, no open dumps, stock aps down pipes. Im sure with a blower or NA it would be louder.

I have the fast intensions true dual on my vortech, but I just swapped my exhaust to 100% stock for emissions testing. Its stock other than gutted HFCs and I didnt notice any power differences. I swear more even.

I had long tubes and the fast instension 2.5 true dual.
Now I am running stock manifolds gutted HFS stock y pipe, mid, and mufflers

I love the quietness on the highways and like I said the performance "butt" dyno says I didnt loose much. Just ask the modded C6 Z06. I didnt retune it yet and my A/Fs are a bit high. Around 12.4 WOT on cold days.

So the exhaust debate for me is different. The stock manifolds helped me, but the stock cat back hurt me..end the end, it all balanced out.

2.5 seems to be the choice of the masses. but from the research most of the gains are aquired withing the first 3 feet from the engine block. Not so much after the y pipe areas.

The stock exhaust is really really nice on this car, I know everyone jumps to change it, but you're right, most times it's just not necessary unless people want way more noise.

Once you get rid of those aweful Cats for something better, there's not a ton to be drastically improved upon, especially N/A.
There's power to be gained, but it's not a lot unless you're doing headers, and even then, can't expect a ton.

Just my $.02

A stock 2.5" exhaust is pretty signifigant for this car, and there's no massive crunches or crazy bends. It's also got very long 'duals' before it Y's together.
