JWT is coming out with a Turbo kit for G35 around April. It will be CARB certified and 400hp. Split intercooler and will fit stock bumper. Price is $6k. Was thinking about the SSR/SFR TT, now I might reconsider. JWT kit is around $2K less and Carb approved is a big plus. Peace of mind, incase you get pulled-over for under hood inspection.

the Stillen stage 2 is CARB approved. You can tell the cop to give you your speeding ticket and shut the fk up.

BUT, if you put the stage 3 pulley on ($80 more and 20m to install), you "void" the add'l warranty and your vehicle can now be impounded (CA...or is that KA?)

Cheers, Ted

Aight aight

Alright here's the scoop.

I'm 17, for my 16th Birthday I gots me a g35 coupe! Been drivin' it around for a little for a year got about 6k miles on it.

Friend at school dropped a SC, headers, intake system in his Acura CL-S (btw can you really get over 600hp from that set up!?) anyway, not importaint

What the problem is, 280HP Is amazing, I love it! The thing really gets around

But this whole dropping 80+hp idea keeps me up at night.

1) Is it really reasonable for a car this nice, and for a person my age
2) Is the end result worth it? Is it going to be more repairs and headaches then I could imagine. Is the extra horsepower really worth it?
3) What is the absolute safest way to go with FI, I want .0001% chance of an engine blow out, but I also want to keep a stock hood

So basicly, Is this the right car to hook up, or should I pick up some datson beater and throw some nos in it?

All I can say is tuning is the key when it comes to FI either SC or TT. If the A/F ratio, timing, fuel maps, and egt's are tuned correctly I see no problems. The bottom end could easily handle 400+whp daily imo as long as the fuel management and tuning is done.

If 400whp safe for the stock bottom end then? Is that the magic number for the tranny or something else?

I'm coming from the Evo world, so I'm very up on Turbos, and the possibility of adding tons of hp, but would like to know about the #'s for the G35. Thx.

warranty

what all of you FI geeks do about warranty? just say - fcku it? I a crious because I don't want to spend 10+k on SC or TT and then have something minor/major happen to the car and not being able to take it to the dealer for service. Would you ONLY suggest TT SC in case if you know howto work on your own car or what
?

I have had my radio, headlights, transmission & window motor all replaced with FI. They will warranty everything but the internals of my motor

It usually goes back to the dealer having to prove that the part you added/changed caused the malfunction. Some dealers are pickier than others.
