pros and cons of a blow off valve on an ATI Procharger
Ill be down in florida soon with my car.
Ill give you and your mustang quarter mile mentality an azz whopping for sure....
Anything 40mph and up and your mustang built by the devil in G35 clothing will see my Jesus wings and tail lights.
What an idiot (click here to see my proof of said idiot)...!!!
Is it a stock block? No reply necessary.
Really dude? Not only is your post off topic, so is your understanding of the G35 platform. Its not a quarter mile car man.
3500lbs car running 550+ can break into the 10s...10.8 maybe even better. The stock GTR does it with less HP to the wheels than 550.
Read a book, internet nerd, better yet. Learn how to drive your car with those weak azz times.
Road closed pizza boy! Find another way home!

I love how these inflated dyno jet number dudes think they have solid cars...... Just like the pro charged C5 Z06.. Im running 500+ to the wheels.... It wasnt even a race and he had less weight and claimed more tq.
IMO if I ever cared to dyno my car on a inflated "make you feel good about your car and $$ dynojet" I am sure it would crack 600.
F the numbers...lets set up a race....on a road track...jackazz!!??!!? You name the track. Illl come down just to make you apologize.

Sorry OP to be off topic on this post.
This Jtrain wanna be drive an automatic.....nuff said.
Either your an old man, handicapped, or a retard running those times.
Even more dumb for trying to boost an automatic...
"i keep hitting the rev limiter"
"did anyone fix the lag in shifting"
Yes you clown, its called a clutch and bigger tricept muscles.
I swear kids these days! Lets spend 8K on a built motor to get 50 more hp than a stock block!?!? I call BONE HEAD
This dude is the reason I have a bypass and not a blow off. A consistent release of pressure is needed to deal with internet clowns. If I had a blow off. I would surely get banned for grabbing all his dumb internet info and reposting it.
rant over, I promise staff and mods. I wont reply to this clown. "other than accepting a road race on a track of his choosing" eff it...ill even run him in the quarter.

You have the communication skills of a high school kid, and you actually never really answered any of my questions, which is not surprising as I'm sure you and the truth aren't very close friends.
My car has been tuned on mustang dyno, it's never been on any other brand. When I did my Low 12 passes I was on slicks with 525 TQ. The only reason I'm still Automatic is some empty promises that weren't delivered by my tranny shop. My car is currently in the garage being prepped for a 6MT swap.
The dissertation I'd have to write to break down why the GT-R does, what it does at it's weight and HP rating would likely take me a few days considering you "Fast and furious" logic of cars (They were great movies, but physics and reality come into play a lot too). You know, things that don't make noise and give you bigger numbers. differential, gearing, AWD systems, A NON 6MT TRANNY (OMG THE DEVIL).
I loved being boosted on an auto, Sawing gears wastes time-- I don't give a **** how cool it is how my car changes gears, or the amount of input I need to do it. I just want to go fast-- If the G35's Auto had larger clutch packs, I'd be flying.
I live in Florida. There's no mountains, curvy roads. There's just straight flat roads and a ton of stop lights / traffic. When I hit the gas, I don't lose boost until I let off (Which flyboi, is a good thing).
I'm sure you think you're top **** at whatever Guido gym you go to talking about.. BRO, BOOST AND GEAR SHIFTING.. BRO DO YOU EVEN LIFT etc etc instead of actually working out. I'm sorry your self-esteem is as low as it is.
Here's some useful links for you:

To OP:
I only chimed in on this because someone might stumble upon this idiots "You can run 500hp on a stock block comment" and think it's right.
At almost NO POINT, have I had MORE HP then TQ on my car. If I had more HP, it was DAMN close. Don't be fooled, build your bottom end if you get around 400HP/TQ- Do your builds right.

Okay. Let me get all this BS Straight.
You don't 1/4 your car, but you ran a 12.8... and you think slicks are going to take you to 10s? Yes based on similar cars in the area, running less HP/TQ I feel 10s are possible. I dont track my G35 but I did track my other cars, you clown.
I ran my car at 400whp on falken 452's and got 12.6 (what size. I was on 245/40 on all fours)
I ran my car at 475whp on slicks and couldn't quite break into 11s. And that's with a 1.5' 60foot. You have to do better than that, the automatic limited you man.
And then you claim that you're running a supercharger set up at 557wheel horsepower
AND it's a stock block? My car is not a stock block, the VQ could not handle this out of the gate.
Did Jesus build your supercharger, motor and car? Pretty close to it. His name is Frank Hill, he owns Hills Garage. It was tuned by probably the best tunner on the East Coast Frank Smith, any tuner feel free to challege his skill set.
Or did he just put in forged rods, a new gasket and better main/head bolts. No, actually after a widely used shop blue printed and balanced it, Frank found a few major things wrong ( a few blown engines were popping up in the seen), stock tolerances, ect but decided he wasnt happy. He did it all over by hand, down to filing the rings and getting things in for race specs. He knows I drive the **** out of my car and it see the track often and many many back roads.EDIT: And you track your car at those ratings, again with a stock block , no I never said that, reread the post.

There are at least 4 cars on this forum that are running over 500 on a stock block, this isnt a turbo thread dude....vortech/supercharger.
I didnt even read all your post.
mustang dyno read higher than dyno jets typically which typically read higher than dyno dynamics. I has dynoed on a mustang/dynapack at 411,then 388 on a dyno jet. 557 was on a dyno dynamics, also know as the heart breaker. Shariff had this very same dyno in Atlanta.
the hp limits on the VQ platform is not HP. the limit is tq which ironically hits around 420rwtq.
Now since this is a supercharger thread which I Azzume you have no direct experience with, if you did you would know all of the above.
The vortech kit generally kicks out about 100 less tq vs hp.
so running a stock block at 500rwhp hits about 390+rwtq, making it toally fine on a stock block set up.
Hence why I said, "if I could do it again" not...my current set up.
so running about 530rwhp and 420rwhp tq is pushing the limits...but then again it depends on the dyno as to a 20% difference among the various dynos is more than enough to destroy the rods in a VQ. Like I said, if I dyno my car on a mustang or dynapack it will be in the 600, again this all depends on correction, bla bla bla
With that said. We have seen 345rwhp Stillen Superchargers blow up. Could be tunning, driver, driver error, bad gas...who knows. Hell I had an oil consumption engine that chewed up 4.5 quarts in 1200 miles. It blew. Replaced under warantee.
So to keep this on topic and to keep from getting further derailed from your waist of space.
We, as in Northern VA, run 500 all daum day on a stock block with the right support mods. On VORTECH superchargers. HENCE THIS SUPERCHARGER THREAD.
Stick to turbos man...all that torque that 95% of you clowns cant drive on, hence your weak times with slicks.
A good friend of mine, name is Randy. Has a 419 rwhp TT G35, 6speed.

find a new road home pizza boy, you just proved your supercharger ignorAnuz
to actually answer the OP..haha, a bov has no performance advantages, only possible harm to a supercharger. I the bypass on the vortech (which should be similar to the prochage) is spring-pressure to vent on partial throttle, to prevent compressor surge since the blower is spinning all the time. You can run a bov if you want to get the release sounds, but it has to have the correct spring pressure to properly vent at partial throttle. If you don't care for noise, don't bother wasting money on a bov
its a 3 cylinder 14 stroke from japan, it came out of a modified center drive Power Wheels.
Top Secret did the work.
lol

the bypass valve will prevent the compressor from surging when you close the throttle at high rpm.. when the compressor surges it could and will eventually grenade. The bypass valves, blow off valves and recycling valves will open under vacuum and allow the pressurized air to escape, avoiding surge or super heating the intake charge in the system.
