Exclamation HELP me remove an E-manage

Ok, so I'm new to the tuner world. And I am in over my head I think. So I purchased a 2004 G35 coupe. Freakin sweet car, 40,000 miles 6 speed Greddy twin turbo set up. However the motor is "blown". I have bought another 3.5l to replace it with. being that I will be pulling out the old engine and internals I'm just gonna run it stock for now. I know that i need to remove the emanage to use the stock computer. How hard is it to pull it off? Any advice you could give me? Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I know greddy has/had 18G and 20G twin turbo kits. Not sure if there is a difference in the way the emanage was installed. Find out which size turbo you have and call greddy to see if there is a difference in the emange install/removal for each kit. A quick search turned up this...look at page 19.

Thanks man, thats some pretty good reading material. I talked to a guy that runs Custom Sound Works out of Lubbock, Texas, he said the same thing. Although he didnt have anything good to show me.

If the car works fine why revert back to stock right after you bought it?
But to answer you question the ECU sits in the passenger side kick panel. a few 10mm bolts should be holding it down. the retainers on the panel pop out and i believe the lower base screws out. I had to pull my ECU cuz JWT put a custom tune on it and I couldn't reprogram it.

because the engine is blown in my car, so i am putting a stock enginge in it with no turbos. so there is no need for the emanage. although Gredy says if I have the Silver Emanage I can just reset it to factory defaults. And not have to pull it off.
