Swapped to a 6MT and hit the dyno today...

So,

My car has been worked on by a lot of really horrible people that have no honor or stand behind their work. Not here to call them out, but I do any other chance I get.

The moral of the story is PROs stepped up in a big way (And Roger's ALWAYS been there for me) and really out did themselves.

Took out my built 5AT (rebuilt it and is currently for sale). Stayed right around 476 HP while I was on 5AT.

Swapped out to the 6mt and put down 557 HP and 532 TQ on the mustang dyno. The numbers speak for themselves, I couldn't be happier. I have a shop that I trust and does exactly what they say they're going to do.

I replace my wastegate springs some day and push it to 600. But, I really don't see a reason to.

Built short block, stock (put ported / cleaned heads about 3000 miles ago)
Greddy G18 kit.
3" exhaust
Haltech
JWT Kevlar clutch, lightweight JWT flywheel, cd009 tranny
Adustable short shifter
Big boy status.

I've taken a few racing schools, but I gotta learn how to drive this thing in traffic.

And drop some cash on making it look like a 550rwhp car.

Been waiting a few years to make this thread

Still at the shop. I'm taking it to my bodywork guy-- getting a new CF ViS hood put on and reworking my entire (mostly) greddy body kit. Then off to the rims guy to extend my lip and refinish my rims.

550rwhp and looking brand new? Yeah, worth.

I'll keep this thread up to date, I'll have dyno sheets Friday.

Never would have thought that a 5AT eats 15% power compared to a 6MT. If a 6MT averages 17% drivetrain loss then a 5AT increases that to 32%

Well, my tuner always told me my car was making 600 wheel (and was running into 600 wheel problems) Driving the thing around at 475 you could tell so much was being held back. It just didn't like taking any power over 450. I was just too power hungry for an AT.

Anyway, got it back today. Drives like a monster- this thing is a race car now, no doubt. I LOVE the lightweight flywheel. I have some research to do and definitely some practice shifting, but holy crap.

Dyno sheet.

And 06 tails on my 04.

I'll post pics of the ViS CF hood and new 06 headlights tomorrow ^_^.

So your jump from 476 to 550+ was from the transmission alone? Makes me want to consider the swap as well.
