There are many build threads on here to help you get started, no one is going to hand you everything on a silver platter but you seem to understand that

At 550hp I can't understand your need to make it a DD, but there is much more that comes into play. Your stock transmission will have many issues handling the new, stronger motor.

Best thing you could do is reach out to GTM, they are the formost high performance shop for the VQ. Tell them what you want and ask them to build you an itemized quote. Bam, you have your shopping list.

Trust me, at 550 it will no longer be a daily driver, no matter how you build it.

The stock trans will not have any issues.

There are many members in the 500+ range that are daily drivers and reliable. Many many more over on my350z.

GTM is one of the most knowledgable shops for the VQ around and have produced many high power reliable builds. Not sure why you are laughing at that.

My coupe was making 570 whp when I parted it out. I was boosted for 2 years and over 20,000 miles. I know several other guys personally in the 500+ club, trust me fully built VQ's are never as "daily driveable" as they sound.

You need to pay more attention to the threads GTM comes up in before they're removed by the mods on my350z. Lots of threads posting negative reviews mysteriously disappear over there.

On a personal note, I've done business with GTM in the past, personally owned one of their kits, sold/installed several more, been to their shop. I will never do business with Sam again.

Here's a couple recent posts from the FI section on my350z

People who did their research and learned from other forum members' past experiences already knew to stay away from GTM.

Yes, GTM is a hug RIPOFF! My threads are elsewhere, you can read them...Sam at GTM took my 26K for a long block/TT setup and after 1.5 yrs, he only had a shortblock finished....Got a lawyer, he gave me my **** and took the car elsewhere...In the 1 yr since then, I have lost/had stolen, over 5k in parts from GTM. Sam even built my stroker block w/o proper clearance and the engine wouldn't even turn over after it was installed by another shop....WHAT A COMPLETE A-HOLE. He had PAINTED items I asked to be ceramic coated thereby cheating out of more money..I had to recoat all the parts...He wouldn't retun my HR conversion cooling system to fit my DE and when the other shop asked for it, he replied "why should I help him"? CAUSE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO MF'R!!! Never did get those parts (900) and new shop had to remake them....headlight ballast and wiring was missing, c,losed dumps for waste gates were missing starter was missing etc etc....

Don't believe the hype and BS Sam puts out....I continue to bash his azz cause I have no way of collecting my lost money/parts...(attorney wanted 5k just to begin looking in to it)...

So, this is how I extract my freaking pound of flesh sam Coksukr Zawahara...U f'd me over so until the day I die I will CONTINUE TO bash ur azz everytime I get the chance......

U need some lead n ur diet but I ain't goin' that far...

STAY AWAY FROM GTM FOLKS...LEARN A LESSON FROM ME!!

SAM COKSUKERZAWAHARA AND GTM ARE LIARS, THIEVES CHEATS AND JUST PLAIN CUMSUKERS....

I dont trust you and 500+ hp really isnt much. A well built motor will not have any problems. Mike has been in the 1000+hp range from his GTM built motor for many years. There are multiple 500+ G37s from GTM also daily driven no problem.

So you are telling me to pay attention to threads that do not exist? I am sorry you have a personal grudge against Sam, but it doesnt change the fact that they are highly reguarded in the VQ world and Sam is one of the best sources of knowledge for building a VQ motor. Also, I didnt say get work done there, I said reach out to get an itemized quote. Please read.

If ever I wanted to get a part list to build a VQ, either Sam or Sharif are some of the most knowledgeable people there are. There is no denying that.

Sharif and knowledge! Now I just about fell out of my chair laughing.

Sam I think has great products and knows what he is doing, but yes you are going to wait years to get them.

Forged has a worse history than GTM right now (they're currently battling it out for who's going to bend the next one over).
