I haven't purchased one yet. I have one in mind, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hey,
I somewhat on same boat as far is which TT kit ( SSR, JWT, APS, PE, or Greddy ). Leaning towards SFR/SSR tt kit, main reason is SFR is 20mins. from my house, they make their own Turbo kit and they can install, and have not heard anything bad on the kit as far blowing any engines, plus there is a group buy right now $6599. JWT is also 30mins. from me, and they are very familiar with Nissan engines, plus kit is supposeably carb approved, kit is around $6K. Then you have APS TT, read all the hype at my 350z forum, and might be worth while wait for this one, price in uncertain though. Have not yet ruled out Vortech SC. Playing the waiting game right now. You never know something better might come out.

I would like to see the dyno charts on this to see the curve. It seems like a very conservative tune for the Procharger. With 326 whp I wouldn't think the bigger injectors would be necessary, as its less then 100 hp over stock. Did you use the ATI FMU or just scrap it like I did?

Enjoy!!!

I scraped it. I know that I am getting less than 100 hrspwr over the stock but I'm quite happy. It sounds good and performs good enough for me. I do have a question for you. Did you by any chance have problems during start up? When the engine is cold it cranks with no problems but when the engine reaches temperatures and go to crank it again, it stalls so I have to give a bit of gas during start up. I was thinking of sending the ecu to TS sothey can fix it. Any advice?

My only problems are when its cold. I have a return type fuel system and it seems to lose pressure if I let the car sit. So, I have to turn the key to the 'on' position and let it sit for about 5 seconds and let the fuel pump run, then the car starts right up, every time.

If tuned properly the Procharger is as safe as a Vortech, and will produce more power.
By the way, being a Vortech Guy, I'd like to know the facts that led you to this conclusion. I always felt the they were both the same in the power dept but one was always safer than the other because of the piggy back comp vs. none. How much power are the ATI ppl putting down? I've seen over 400 to the wheels on a dynojet on an 5AT G...btw, my statement is backed here -----> www.dfwg35.com (hope you don't mind be refrencing your site Tommy!)

I hardly think you can consider Tommy's G the norm. He has basically every performance mod you can get, a TS flash for his Vortech, larger injectors, and 9lb pullys.

Look over the history of stock Vortech and stock ATI dynos. The ATIs tend to produce more power. On top of that, the ATI is efficient up to 24lbs of boost using their C-2 compressor. It would be interesting to compile a list of what everyone is putting down on stock boost, but that would be a pain in the ***.

I put down 380rwhp with my ATI the day it was put on, and that was with a bad tune and stock exhaust. If the car would have been tuend properly I would have hit 400rwhp on ATI's stock pullys.

Okay, but I do have the stock Vortech system with no other air mods (plenum, spacers, or injectors) and I put 388 to the wheels untuned (with a slipping belt) and JDM V35 (David) put 391. I've yet to redyno since replacing the belt with a thicker one, but I'm sure it'll hit 400. I'm just saying, your comment seemed a little misleading and if someone is putting their hard earned cash on the line, they should know all of the facts, all of them.

by the way, the 264 you see in that dyno were my NA numbers...for comparison.

hmmm... 264 on a NA motor? Thats extremely high. I went from a 233 NA setup to the 380 FI setup.

Like I said before, it seems like dynos in the 36X range are common with the Vortech and from what I've seen the Procharger people usually squak out a little more power. Of course, dyno'd side by side, on the same dyno, the results may be different. Where is your dyno at? I would love to use it.

Doubt you'd be interested in driving to the west coast, but he's in Torrance, CA. I did have a short ram intakem exhaust and cats when I did that NA run...in all fairness. THX723 (Clint) out down 271 that day with his bolt-on mods... (plenum, z-tube, headers, cats, exhaust, proto-type airbox mod), and he drives a 6MT sedan!

I would love to see a totally stock 6MT dyno on his dyno right before or after you. It would seem as if this dyno may be a bit 'generous.'

Anyway, my statement was referring to the ATI generally creating about 10 more HP. In the end no one will notice 10HP when you are that close to 400. In the end, all the number for is for bragging rights.
