update on electric supercharger
This is some update for whoever watched 10-15hp for $300 thread.
Good news and bad news.
Bad news is the low cost e-supercharger won't work on your vechicle. Why? It can't flow enough air for your engine at high rpm, although it only cost less than half as much as eRAM. Go see their web site for yourself. They do sell lots blower. Yet the biggest one flows 250cfm
http://hq.hypermart.net/
Now Good news: I had resulted the length problem and successfully put only one eRAM (This one flows 750cfm, http://www.electricsupercharger.com/) in my 300zx and still keep the same gain as dual eRAM setup.
I figured out I can put the entire eRAM setup inside a K&N filter with 4" openning, (I use KN RF-1032) and use just one clamp to clamp them on my MAF sensor. And I also asked eRacing if I can replace the hull of my old eRAM with new unitbody plastic constructed hull, They agreeed. (The old one has some parts are glued together.)
Now I just use one eRAM and still have good power gain, and it's stealth so I can pass smoke check, isn't that great?

I use this example on other forums, see if you buy
Do you know how much air your engine takes at full power (6500rpm)? I don't have a solid number for you, but most gasoline engine takes 350cfm to make 280hp. Remember this number and remember eRAM put out 750cfm.
A typical electic leaf blower makes 400cfm, and it tosses air at 180+mph at its outlet.
Take a 400cfm leaf blower and blow air into a bag. What happen? It can't really blow that much air into that bag (unless bag brokes). The bag will just fill like a ballon, that's pressure inside that bag to push it out to its shape.
Assume that bag has a hole and leaks out 350cf of air per minute(say to you engine). Well, bag is still filled by the leaf blower, but not as much pressure build up inside, right? Anything less than 350cfm won't be able to fill that bag up.
For the very same reason, take a 750cfm blower to fill a 350cfm leaking bag, you will get some pressure build up inside that bag, and that's more than a 400cfm leaf blower can do. Got that?
So bigger the blower, higher the pressure inside the bag. Yet Out of your imagination, we are only talking about few psi here. For anything like 6 psi (low pressure turbo), will tear apart a leather bag in a snap.

Re: update on electric supercharger
LOL yup, they still advertise in magazines.
What garbage. This is even better, it's spiralmax with a little motor. Still garbage, should of kept good customer relations.
Just another money making scheme. I feel bad for the future suckers that fall for this. All I can say is, IT DOESN'T WORK. Don't fall for false claims. If it worked so good why doesn't everyone buy it?

Re: update on electric supercharger
hey. not nice!
Haven't been here for while, busy.
I am not owner of eRacing, nor sales rep. I work for Cisco.
I don't have a G, since I am still in waiting mode. I like to make sure there is a GOOD s/c come out for G or Z before I buy it. And I also like to see Nissan's VPP program include Z or Gc so I can buy mine with invoice price or lower.
Besides, I current own something better(in my opinion). A 300ZX NA stg6. If you don't understand what stg6 means, I can only tell you it run much faster than a stock TTZ. (14.0 without sweat). To me, if I own a car, I have to mod it here and there, and it's a long going process and I am not sure I can do that with such busy schedule.

Re: update on electric supercharger
=) you don't gotta lie to kick it Tim. We know your connected with eram.
300zx stage 6 nice. I know what you mean about constantly modding. I hear it's just part of being a male. "Fast is nice, Faster is better".
NA is nice in a way, but I'm going to enjoy the sound of a turbo spooling up. I'll see you in San HO, maybe we'll run into each other in cisco land.
