Well I just installed my kit a couple weeks ago. The SS box is running RICH!! So rich when I start it up all I smell is gas. I got 200 miles out of my last tank. I have a dyno tune coming up soon.

Working with the theory that there's no free lunch...I'd have to say gas mileage would be worse. The supercharger is just another drag on the engine (like a fan, a/c, alternator, etc). Anything that drags on the engine, even if it pumps air into cylinders, should reduce fuel economy. But that's only compared to a non-supercharged engine. Fuel economy for hp could well be better than achieving that same hp through displacement.

I get about 17-19 in the city. It has so much power, most of the time I shift from 1st to 3rd to 5th. When I ran it at Watkins Glen though I got less then 8 mpg.

he didn't drive very well.. Loved the Glen should be going back this year... No problems with the tranny.. Some cars force you to miss gears if you aren't going fast to save gas ie. the Vette...

The gas milage is worse with s/c end of story. Because there is more pressure forced into the engine it needs more gas or something like that. I'm moving this to the tech and mod forum because that's where it should be.

Nope it should improve "end of story" (hu, hu, duh) [picking nose]

Efficiency should increase. Look it up before commenting "end of story"
