You guys that have SC in hot climes, how do they do? I have misgivings about installing one in a place that averages 95 degrees/95% humidity most of the time.
how about this... what if you hook up the procharger with utec? the stand alone features of the ati (seperating unit from engine oil supply) as well as adding the tunability of the utec.
worse gas mileage, lower the life expectancy of the motor, increased maintanence, attracts police attention, Makes ur car louder(actually in a very sexy way), makes ur girl bitch and cry that u spend soo much money on the car and not on her...
I spoke to vortech today. The '05 6MT version should be finished in about a month or so.
I also asked about getting it in a V1 instead of a V2. They said no dice! The V1 has straight cut gears!!! (love those mechanical sounds) instead of the V2's helical cut gears. They offer the V1 for the "pushrod" kits only.
Damn, the V8 guys get all the fun.. Oh do I miss the rumble of 90* V8.
BTW, has anyone had there impeller upgraded from an SC-trim to an S-trim. the SC is essentially a cut down S-trim. Total output is about the same, but the S-trim is a little stronger without having to change pullies. (96-98 Cobra guys used to do this swap for their vortechs.)

NO!!!! With a supercharger you have more parasitic powerlosses so you get worse gas mileage. Think of it as a crank pulley that weighs 20lbs.....not the most efficient thing or good on gas mileage. A turbo is another story.
