This shrinks the useable range of the boost part of the gauge (0-8). Even so, I think the gauge is fine.

I mounted my three gauges across the Nav cubby on a plate that fits under and attaches to the Nav cover. The gauges are angled slightly towards the driver and are very visible. I wouldn't mount them inside the cubby--too hidded. Anyway, the coupe cubby is too tight for three 52 mm gauges to fit inside.
pics?

Randy,

Here's my guage pod. The one on top is the boost (the black circle next to the gauge is the microphone for my alarm). The empty one in the middle is for my fuel pressure which I should have this week. The bottom one is my AEM wideband.

Randy I know it's off subject, but since it's related, I just had to ask.

Why wideband A/F, boost, & fuel pressure for your gauges? What made you go with those three? While I understand why wideband, why not oil temp/pressure, or exhaust gas temp (EGT), or one of the other types of gauges?

I'm new to the FI game and just wondering why not other gauges?

cuz without fuel pressure, you lean out and BBOOOMMM. Witout boost, I can't tell if I'm under boost and what level I'm at when I'm tuning or trying to drive under boost conditions. The A-pillar only allows three...

If you have the Navi system, then this is also an option, I orderd the system just a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the reply Randy. What I'm trying to do is identify the most critical of the systems to monitor. I'm just wondering if oil pressure/EGt/others would also be of concern enough to go with a system like HKS Camp and up to three A-pillar gauges. If it's not too critical, then I'd stay with just three gauges.

Being in Hawaii we don't get Navi so to go with Camp I already need to be shelling out more $$$.

If you're using fuel pressure to see if you're leaning out then why bother with the wideband?

I could be wrong as fuel pressure is definitely important but if I had to choose 3, I'd probably consider a DEFI EGT, Boost, and a AEM wideband.

A-pillars are conventional, do something different. The fuel pressure won't necessarily tell you Boom, that's what the AF is for. If you're going to get gauges don't get the autocrappies (autometer). If you want a air/fuel, get the AEM wideband also. I'd go with the EGT and the oil pressure first, but if you want a fuel pressure isn't bad either. I run 4 gauges, the DEFI BF oil pressure, egt, boost and an af gauge with the defi control unit. If you're worried about boost conditions, then get the boost gauge, but the DEFI BF is not in psi, its in bars.

they're not that bad, i use to have them before. But if he wants an a/f, he should not get an autometer AF gauge, its not very accurate. Some autometer gauges also break easily and go bad quickly. I had run a boost gauge from them with the greddy profec b spec-II and they both read completely different numbers, the autometer was about 1 -2 psi off.
