That is going to be one heck of a monster.

Could someone explain to me what the difference is between the short and the long block on SGP's site? I always thought is was the displacement of the engine. Does this mean that they somehow make the pistons travel a greater distance? How can you make a short or long block out of the same engine?

Congrats! I know its been a long time coming for you.. I'm seriously considering going the same route with the built motor. Does $7k include labor and everything? How much was the shipping if you dont mind me asking?

A short block is (block,rods,pistons)
A long block includes the short block plus the heads, cams, intake etc.

yes the price on the SGP website includes labor on building the motor but not pulling or reinstalling, but I guess you figured that out cause I had to ship the motor. Shipping was $583 roundtrip.

Florida G35 Club goin' strong!!! Way to rep G-man!

Would you ever consider coming up to CFL for one of our track nights? I might be able to get Rich to come over from Tampa with his Greddy TT and ~500 rwhp (built bottom end too) for one heck of a track night.

Ouch that's a low blow. Gman, how do you plan on breaking in your motor? I plan on breaking it in at about 12psi but not close to redline.
