I was going to do the crazy method of WOT runs, but since SGP told me to drive like grandma it is going to see no boost until 1000 miles.

Update

Ok so the motor is back in the car. The only thing I am waiting on is for my ECU to come back from TS. They are going to bump up my idle to 950 and add the greddy tt timing maps (no fuel adjustments). Instead of the 24 degrees advance timing the stock ecu has at WOT it will lower it to 20 degrees.

Also I changed my mind on the HKS V Pro. Apparently you will loose VDC and cruise control. I can't see paying $4200 for the unit, installation, and tunning and then loosing those functions. I am going to go with the new Emanage Ultimate. After the break in I am driving the car to NC to CPrace so Sharif (www.forgedinternals.com) can tune my car. When the AEM EMS comes out I will switch over to that.

If everything works out I should have the car back by Tuesday.

It depends on how fast I can put 1000 miles on the new motor.....maybe 08/15.

Gman...

Good deal..glad to see another monster being unleashed before our eyes... I wish you great luck with tuning and setting up the car.

As far as HKS Fcon is concerned, I have seen those units for about $1180 + $480 for the harness, and the installation should be pretty minimal as it's mostly plug-in (that's why you are paying so much money for the harness...otherwise the univeral harness is $89). Knock AMP... now that's the price I do not know..but you do NOT need that unit at all. Just get the awesome LC-1 wideband controller ($199), and have it's configurable output tapped into the Vpro. Tuning should not be more than around $450-750. ANyway, just a thought. THe emanage ultimate does look great, but we still do not know how well it'll work (i am sure at least as well as the original emanage).

I am also eagerly awaiting the AEM solution. We'll see.
GOod luck once again.
