Stalling at idle fix!
My boost guage has vacuum on it and at idle I'm getting really good vacuum.
I don't go to the dealership very often, and I'm out of town a lot so booger why don't you ask your tech to call my tech?
He is the head tech at Infiniti of Dayton (Ohio). Supposedely the tech there is one of the best in the country, but my salesman told me that so who knows if its true. I do know that he fixed my car in a hurry, and he has my respect!

I've got the NISMO cams as well, and the idle is good. Drops here and there (quick bounces), but havent had any problems with stalling out. I would however be interested in looking into raising the idle a hair through the ecu. TS flashed my ECU back when I got the cams, but I don't think they did anything to the idle (or maybe they did?). Have to make a few phone calls tomorrow...
Yeh..I dont stall and idle isnt bad....Like you said, a bounce here and there . kevin...I have tried to give Rabbids phone number to my dealers tech...when John was at Grubbs . He wouldnt call....think he was afraid of looking stupid to another tech . I had to actually take him instructions on some thing else I wanted done
Nice... I'll see what I can do. Like I said, I don't spend much time in Dayton, and when I am there I am pretty busy! Maybe I can call my salesguy and he can have the tech write something up and Email it to me!

So what's the solution for the 2004.5 ECU's? I had my timing advanced by 2 degrees (most they could do) and my idle went from ~500 to ~650.
With the Crawford headers the car would almost stall when rolling to a stop in Neutral (drop to ~450 rpms), but it would recover every time. This timing advance took care of the problem for a few weeks, but it seems to have reappeared. My guess is that the ECU shifted the operating parameters back to stock so that my car is back to its old self again.
I'm wondering about my idle with the upcoming Vortech install combined with the headers. Is there anything us 2004.5 FI people can do to bump up the idle rpm more permanently? Can anything be done with the R4 Software?

You can add or subtract fuel with the R4 software but that is about it.I believe I have a fix for the falling through/stalling issues for any year car.You wont need any extra parts.You dont need to mess withthe ECU.You just need to make a little modification.I am going to try it out on my car to see if it works.I got the idea from tuning stand-alone systems with no idle control motor
