Need a new bumper for TT?

Are you able to run the stock front bumper with a TT setup? Or do you need a bumper that has a bigger hole at the front for the intercooler?

I ran my APS TT with the stock bumper for 4,000 miles but now I've switched to an open bumper.. if you're going to spend that much on a turbo kit go the extra mile and change the bumper.

^What he said. Especially if you are going squeeze any more power out of your setup.

Unless you are running in hotter temps, you probably won't need an open bumper. That being said, it doesn't hurt having an open front.

JWT TT has dual intercoolers specifically designed for stock G35 bumper. Downside is it's not available and no one knows when it will be.

The APS TT intercooler is pretty efficient and does not require a different bumper for stock boost. After running the car hard, if I stop to feel the plumbing, I can not keep my hand on the intercooler inlet piping very long because it's too hot, although the intake pipe feels cool. That means the intercooler is doing its job pretty well. I have the G35 stock bumper.

Stock boost on these kits you can keep the stock bumper. Higher boost or built motor and higher boost it is a must. I have the Greddy Gracer bumper and I love it. Mostly because it gives my car the illusion of being lower and it's stock ride height.

I have the Stillen , it's very OEM looking and Urethane.

I really like the KS look, just wasn't worth the huge cost adder to me.
The Stillen that I have looks far more pedestrian/OEM but it costed <$400
and its pretty much indestructable (Urethane like OEM). I am looking to fit a Urethane lip to it , eventually.

It definitely wasn't cheap. I really like the Stillen too but wanted a bumper with a fog light type assembly.

I went with the TS1 bumper but I've yet to drive my car since its been installed. It just didnt feel like my car pulled hard on the top end with the stock bumper, I think open air to the intercooler will make a nice difference. Plus I just got my APS plenum in.
