Just bought '05 G35 MT.

Ive been in the world of modifying cars for awhile so Im not new to the lingo. I still have my first toy which was a 99 Eclipse GS with 394whp, (not bad for a 97whp car stock).

Anyway....

Ive been reading on here about SC, TT, ST kits.. Which one is the best to go with? I want something that is expandable, and I don't have to replace many parts the higher I go. It appears that the APS TT kit is what a lot of people are doing. Ive also seen people run a simple SFMU and Split Second piggy back computer.

I believe my goal for this car will be around 500whp. (wow I can't wait for rear wheel drive fun).

I have about 10K to spend. I don't want to upgrade the motor just yet. I like to see how high I can go on stock internals first.

Who has some suggestions on parts and what not?

Thank you

James Mayer

depends on how much you have for labor. turbonetics is an awesome choice for simplicity. aps single is nice but the turbonetics can be installed by a competent mechanic at home, which can save you money for stuff like guages, clutch, etc. vortech is a great supercharger that uses a split second computer that has posted some large gains as of late. now as for the tt's. greddy is a great system but you wil need extra parts outside of the kit for the power of an aps tt kit. the aps tt is the most complete but finding some one to tune the unichip software is difficult. estimate 12,000 plus for one of the tt's including install but you will have a car making 420 whp at near stock boost levels. i would say for the money, prob single turbo. haven't seen one with cams but with around 9lb.s of boost you'd be making 380-400 whp. save up for some rods and pistons
and i could see you making 500 whp without going overboard with thett setup which max out at over 700 whp. do your research on this and some of the other boards and i'm sure that you will find the right kit for you.
good luck.

500rwhp on stock internals is still in the "too dangerous" pile. There is one person on my350z.com who's been flirting with danger at that level for about a year but that's all that I know of. If I'm not mistaken this person is a well known tuner and has the ability to monitor his car daily.

Also, do you want this 500rwhp on a dynapack dyno or a mustang dyno?

It will cost a bit more than 10k. You will need headwork and cams to get there on the stock block. Go to my350z.com as their FI section is much more "developed".
