steve- they masked the core support since it wasn't going to painted all the way. the areas that you don't see was not prepped, so that is why they masked it off. i got the idea from a couple of members over on My350z. Goal was to have a black engine sitting inside the yellow engine bay.

g2fast- finish date is fast approaching. wasn't expecting to get it back until thanksgiving week, but might get it back as early as next week. ted said he'll have the engine back by tomorrow and misc stuff wrapped up by the end of the week. tuning will be performed the following week

the car is back at Scott's Performance and the new JWT clutch is installed. Staying with the stock flywheel to reduce the chatter caused by lighter flywheels.

8k?

ARE YOU NUTS?

after factoring in cost of turbo, clutch, cams, gauges, paint, install, tuning, powdercoat, samco hoses, pi-thon locks, spark plugs, etc., this project is costing me my right arm and my left leg up to my knee.

if it wasn't for friends who offered assitance for the towing back and forth, I may have lost my left ******** as well.

but in the end, it will be all worth it

gurgen: i will definitely be there on Tuesday, maybe Monday depending on where they are at with the install. Ted and I are shooting for a pick-up on Tuesday, but I don't want to rush...after all, I'm almost a week ahead of schedule

How are you going to depress your clutch with no left leg?

looking good billy ray!

how many single installations have they done? i wonder how putting the engine back in is gonna go. they are gonna have to flatten out that heat shield on the ypipe at the turbo. mine had about a mm in between the car and that pipe, i had to beat that shield down to where it was flat.
