Vortech vs APS ST vs Turbonetics

I have been all over the search button on different forums, reading on all three different kits. But I would like to get feed back from everyone and see what are you thoughts.

I would love to go TT but unless I'm able to wait another year to save $$$ that would be another option.

From what I notice SC/ST run about 3-4k less than a TT. Why Vortech? I live in California and they are CARB legal now, good power, not many blown, good low price, install cheaper than turbo. Why Single Turbo? will never be CARB legal, power possiblity better than SC, Turbonetics comes out next month, I believe for the G35 T-netics is a little cheaper than APS, APS TT has shown to be strong but some have had problems with the smoking, Install cost is about 800 more than SC, ST cost is about 1k to 1.5k more than SC, ST does have that great sound plssshhhhhh..........

I have seen some people sell there Vortechs because they wanted more power and then you have those that have spent more than they wanted going with the Turbo.

Please feel free to chime in and give me your thoughts along with what you have experienced and read. THANKS!!!!

Can you give us some information:

Whats the cost of the kit? who is installing it and for how much?

Maybe we can get some Vortech/T-netics owners to do the same.

I bought mine from Brainstorm Performance in CA for 6100 shipped to AZ. My kit is being installed by Dyno Comp whom is the only certified unichip tuner in AZ. As for the price, I dont know yet, but they said they charge about 80 bucks an hour for installs.

Turbonetics: Currenty can be purchased for as low as $4600
Install: By any competent shop as no tuning is needed average cost ~$850-1200

i liked the t-netics kit but was turned off by the reflash. i ended up with the aps kit. it puts out 370whp/395torque at 8.5psi. i'm trying to get up to xxtuning to fine tune the setup for 400whp. sure you could go e-manage on the turbonetics but that will add hundreds to the cost. sure you get the t-netics tuner system but i don't think the basic system for the g35 is out yet.( i think it's released in a week or so) i think as long as you get the right installer, any of these kits will put a smile on your face. in retrospect, if the t-nectics kit was out for thr g35 back in may when i decided to go f/i, i might have went with the kit. i paid 5800 for the aps st, i think it was like 30 hours for the install, which is kinda pricey at 86 bucks an hour. but when you consider i havent had a problem with the kit aside from initially choosing the wrong exhaust, it was well worth the money.

The Turbonetics tuner kit will be available the same day the basic kit is and you could certainly go that way. Although even if you purchased the Turbonetics basic kit at $4500 and added another $600 for the EU and another $100 for tuning you still be $600 cheaper then the APS kit.
