Cool

Hows this:

OldVFRGuy/Brando - 03 6MT - Vortech SC - Self Installed (took me and a buddy one full day)
Vortech kit - $4200.00, AutoSport Wiring harness - $270.00,
Iridium Plugs - $45.00, Zeitronix Gauge -$525.00, Stillen Bumper - $550.00
Dyno Tune & gauge install by CP Racing - $400.
NA hp dyno, 228 rwhp >
Vortech SC, 395 rwhp / 340 tq = 167 rwhp gain
(granted not run on the same dynos)
Total spent +- $5,990.00 \ 167 gain = $35.87 per horse average

Thumbs up

g352NV, no problem - total cost is cool!

What about car type, hp, torque?

And the self install I think should be a "0". Just mention self-install - nuff said. (Not looking for salary breakdown here!)

Calculating the price per hour you make at your day job and then applying to install hours is not realistic. If I install myself, I'm not robbing myself of $40,000 'cause I could've been working (not that I make a lot of money per hr, I use that figure cause I'm just really slow! )

VFRGuy -> thx and I see from your sig you have an 03 6MT (coupe presumably?) If you've got your max torque figure, I'll add that in...

i knew that vortech would be hard to beat in the $/hp ratio - hoping some single turbo folks can give it a run though!

Cool

I figured that was a good way to look at it......$ cost per horse gained.

The Vortech is excellent "bang for the buck"

$42k and counting. Greddy TT built motor, everything except for axles. That includes the full stereo system.

For the PM's Ive been getting.
Self install is tough. It took me and a buddy about 30hrs. You have to pull the motor if you want it done right. If you can get it done for about 1800-2k its worth it.
