Engine smoking!!! vortech problem

I've had a vortech for about 3000 miles and now my engine is smoking?

I think it is oil. I noticed above my exhaust tips that there was black residue from exhaust, and now when I came to a stop sign, white smoke started coming out from my engine. The temperature is normal, and it still feels like I have a lot of power, but I'm scared something is seriously wrong.

I'm in the bay area, and called Z garage, buit they are closed until jan 2nd. Are there any other places that are good with g35's

You mau want to disconnect the IC pipe right before or after the BOV . Put your finger in there to see if there is oil in the pipe . It could be a bad seal in the blower . DO you have crank case breather hose hooked up the the air filter ? How many miles on the car total ?

Check to see if you have smoke coming out of the crankcase breathers.

If so, you may have broken the ring lands off of oneo (or more) of the pistons. The smoke would be the results of "blow by."

The car has about 30,000 miles.

Should I drive it to the garage, or have it towed?

white smoke sounds like a headgasket problem.

Whatever it is, I hope you get it fixed very soon with no residual affects. Happy New Year!

Thanks for the support. Zgarage is not open until Jan 2nd, so I have to wait until then to tow it down there and get it checked out.

One thing though...It did not loose any power and the temperature did not go up. If there was a problem with the engine, wouldn't I loose power?

Right now I'm trying to figure out how to tow it down there. I have a greddy front bumper and I'm guessing that has to come off to get it towed

I take it you dont know your kit to well . If its smoking but running fine..drive it there if it isnt to far . Check the oil first , and put some in if its low .

well, if they're not open until the 2nd, and you can't tow the car there before that, then you might as well wait and call them on the 2nd, and ask what to do.

headgaskwet problems are usually easy to detect. If you blew a gasket or are lifting the heads under boost.........

check the coolant. If you have a chocolate milkshake looking antifreeze mixture, you definately have head gasket problems.

the "milkshake" is a BIG sign.

The power loss would NOT be noticeable. I had major issues with my previous engine, including a 35% leakdown on one cylinder and in the 10's and 20's everywhere else, and the car drove pretty decent.
