Think Derek said it may be another month or so before they put it in the mag

I got the car back today from getting the custom 3' exhaust done. Man, it is loud as hell! I'll try to get some pics up tonight. A DSport update on the car should be done within the next two issues.

i was at vortech last week...should be out in the mag soon. i was told that they are unsure if they will every make this for mass production. it didn't seem very likely from what they said

If it eliminates slippage why the heck not? I think many people would prefer it over the current set up.

Jon at dynocomp is going to try something that we think will eliminate slipping and is fairly easy to do. If it works you might want to have him do the same thing for your car

there's also another way to eliminate slipping by totally reconfiguring how the belt wraps around the pulleys and removing one of the idler pulleys and changing one from a toothed pulley to a smooth pulley, but it's a bit more complicated to do

Are you talking about the addition of the two small pullies to heighten the tension on the belt?

Let me know how that works out. How is DynoComp on tuning the Vortech? About how much does a good tune run?

Thanks!

yeah that's what I mean with the two pulleys

the vortech isn't too hard to tune. It doesn't have as many options as a turbo does with boost control etc. It's around $200 to tune

Update: The car is currently at XS Engineering getting the fuel system, FCon, DSS Stage 5 axles, stillen sways, kinetix HF cats, front a-arms and tuning done. We should be about 1-2 weeks away from completion. Next time i go check on it i'll try to remeber to take some pics.

I had an additional idler pulley installed on the longest stretch of belt and no longer have belt slipping issues.

actually my belt is running at an overall slightly looser tension than it was before which on my car anyway, appeared to be too tight around all the pulleys while the tension on the two long stretches of belt going over to the supercharger pulley was too loose and thus slipping.

Now that one of those stretches is tensioned more and helps even out the tension so the overall tension can be loosened which stresses the bearings less and there's no slipping. Probably will help the belt last longer too

worked for me anyway

Sentry, did you have to drill the mounting plate to add the additional pulley?
