possible to get 400rwhp with a Vortech?

Hey guys its me again I already asked before about the c6 vs my g35 with a
vortech, and i know you many of you may say I wont be able to win. So is
it possible for me to get 400rwhp or somthing very close to that with a vortech with bolt-ons and good tunning? I know people will say I should of
gotten a ST or TT setup up but I just like the supercharger setup right now.
Can vortech be able shoot those kind of numbers especially with a stock block?

I don't have a vortech, but I've seen many people report in these forums numbers from 360-420 rwhp with a vortech and stock internals.

Look into the SSV, it is suppose to have very nice gains for FI applications.

Definitely doable. " DFWG35 " has a 5AT, is at 405rwhp at 9lb. on stock block. 1/4 mile ET: 12.7. He's got several performance mods: upgraded injectors, crawford plenum, custom TS program, borla dual, Valve body/TC upgrade, etc.

Yes it is possible. mcduck (?), on www.my350z.com, has surpassed 400 WHP in his Z.

You would need the smaller pully (3.12 or 2.87), some breathing mods, and good tuning. I would also say an upgraded fuel system (larger injectors, maybe a return line, new ECU). Mcduck is still running the fuel setup that came with the system, but it is surely maxed out at that kind of HP.

The only way I can see running the Vortech fuel system is to crank up the fuel pressure, which is ok to some extent, but larger injectors will make it safer to run.

From what I hear it's def. doable with the right mods to go with it.

That OldVFRdude that post on here has 395rwhp with the stock pulley. CP did the tuning. He did have 407 and had them bump it down a bit, just to be on the safe side. I think he had somewhere in the 340 range for torque.

Dyno numbers are getting crazy these day . Ive read [ with a SC ]that it takes 14.7psi of boost to double the WHP . Not trying to knock any one dyno numbers , but you need to take some of them with a grain of salt . Tuners and dyno operators are in competition with each other , even more so on the east and west coasts . So thier correction factors seem to be getting higher and higher . DynoJet numbers are used as standard , but every one knows they arent real world whp numbers . SO then you have the other type of dyno's and thier operators try to simulate DynoJet numbers . You drive in the door already tuned with the stock pulley making 345whp @8psi .And thats what it shows on the first run . Shop installs the 3.12 pulley tunes it and then does the final dyno run . You now have 425whp.........yeeeehaaaaw. Now do you really think you gained that much from a 1.5psi increase ????????? NO!!!!! . The operator put in the dynojet correction factor and you just gained an extra 50 to 60whp . In all reality your going to gain 10 to 20whp with every 1psi of boost . DynoJet numbers and correction factors make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside , and get the tuner and operator more buisness

In reality the stock Vortech kit is going to yield @8psi 320 to 345whp , 3.12 pulley @9.5psi 340 to 365whp and the 2.87 pulley @11psi 375 to 395whp .

Now you maybe able to get a little more or less psi out of each pulley depending on the exhaust and breathing mods you have . A more restrictive exhaust will yield more psi , but will deliver less whp.

It maybe possible to tweak out 400whp with the smallest pulley . The numbers above are just to give a good idea of what is possible and what isnt

Wouldn't you need upgraded internals to run the 2.87 pulley?

Btw, where can I get the 3.12 pulley at gates belt for a low price?

several guys are running the 2.87 on a stock block . Try Vortech for the pulley and your local parts store for the belt
