Turbonetics ST Installed!
Well after 5 days at the shop I got my G back. I just wanted to post my initial impressions. Alls I can say is , WOW!
What a difference. I haven't got on it really hard yet. I just wanted to make sure everything was working properly before I start waffleing her but its super sweet when the boost kicks in and the G starts to sail. Then you get to hear that BOV, hisssssss. Nice! One thing that shocked me was even though I got the catless kit my exhuast seems quiter then before. Strange but I guess with the extra pipeing and turbo it quites it down. If I don't think about the money I spent I am super pleased. Hopefully she will stay relatively reliable. I don't imagine going for bigger numbers over the basic kit. But then again I never thought I would mod this car period.

Congrats!!! Aw man... I wanna be in the FI club too! =( I'm still in warranty. 25K more miles to go and more time to throw extra money into my turbo fund!
If you don't mind me asking or if you don't want to post, could you PM me about the costs that went into the Turbonetics ST plus installation?
I was considering the APS ST vs. TT just because of cost and the efficiency of the ST's are remarkable now. I am also not going for big numbers.

The stock Turbonetics kit runs at 8psi. Thats good for 360 to 380ish rwhp depending on mods.Honestly that is good enough for me. At the crank its even a nicer number if that is your thing but depends on what kind of driveline loss you use. I have seen people use as low as 12% and as much as 17%. Maybe someone can chime in with a legit figure. I am curious to know. I was not looking for huge numbers just a good kick in the butt without having to rebuild the motor. If I ever have to rebuild then I may go for larger HP. My install cost me $1100. I have spent more $$ on misc. stuff like plugs, gauges, thermostat (not that big of a deal). The kit I purchased brand new from a fellow member on this board for a great price. I am reluctant to post it cause I know many have paid much more for it. It was a pretty good deal.
