For all of you FI experts, advice and honest opinions please?
I have read numerous posts and talked to countless people. I am not going for big numbers and I definitely do NOT want to change the internals. I basically want a FI system that I won't cause any problems. I want it to be like the car came with TT like the 300zx. I want to run a low boost and have it be reliable if I drive it everyday like a regular car. 350 to 380 HP to the wheels is all I need.
Since I am not going for big numbers should I consider a ST?
I have been leaning towards APS ST or TT or the JWT TT system. I have always wanted a car with Turbo... why not the G right? I mean I love everything about this car exept that I feel it could use a Turbo System.
Any advice or opinions would be appreciated.

I have the JWT kit on my car and I would highly recommend it. I personally don't like the noise of a supercharger, and the tightening of belts. I never even considered the single turbo because I didn't want the lag. The JWT kit spools up the fastest out of all the twin turbo kits so far because of the smaller turbo's. So I think that's what you're looking for. My car dynoed at 350hp on a mustang dyno which reads lower than dynojets without tuning.
How much do you want to spend? If you only want 350-380hp, I assume you mean whp, than you'll be very happy with a ST. The extra cost of a TT is not justified for the power levels you're after. The boost in the ST comes on almost as low in the rpm range as the TT. So unless you'll eventually want more than 450whp, go with the ST and save some money for other mods like a new clutch, flywheel, suspension and so on.
Good luck with your choice!

IMO, at this time, not sure if its worth getting any FI kits. Seems in most cases there will be some issues after its installed, whether its minor or major. First most important, is to find a reputable shop with alot of experience with FI install, tuning and are knowledgeable with Infiniti or Nissan vehicles. If you chose JWT TT only 3 shops are authorized to sell and install those kits. Its too early to tell how those kits will compare reliability with other kits, since not enough cars with those kits yet. However JWT products have a long history with building quality Nissan performance products. APS TT kit is more accessible but you will need to find a qualified unichip tuner for that kit. Best to have an authorized installer have it done, if any problems, APS may blame on installer. FI kits are not cheap, after deciding on which kit, with all other parts needed, installation, tuning, you'll end up spending more than expected, its always the case. Better have emergency money just incase problems occur, you'll never know when that motor will go boom. Our factory ecu does not like having a piggyback ems ( split 2nd, unichip, emanage ) which most kits are using. So far only optional standalone ems available are the HKS Fcon vpro or the Motek, both are very pricey. Once you get the " boost bug ", its over, speed is addicting. You'll probably start asking yourself what mother mods can I get to get more horsepower. I find it funny seeing guys on my350z forum, after going FI, theyre immediately looking to see what other mods to add-on to get higher #'s on the dyno. For these guys its all about my high dyno #'s is higher than yours. Type of dynos used, dynopack vs. dynojet vs. mustang are always brought up. Very little turbo lag difference on these kits to matter on daily driving. Its basically who's got the most money to spend and trying to impress other people. When its all and done, these guys are on their 2nd or 3rd motors, and dealing with alot of headaches, and theres no turning back. I still give props to those guys. Important decision is knowing what your power goals are. I think 350-425rwhp is plenty and properly tuned can make your motor run safely for long time. Another thing is the downtime, shops will say it will be done on this day, usually takes longer than expected, so be preparred, hope you have a 2nd car. So choose a kit and shop wisely, and keep it at low boost with a very conservative tune. Best to be safe than sorry. Also consider SC kits. Stillen and Vortech so far have good history with reliability, both carb approved, Vortech has good #'s, if you dont mind the whining sound, which is not that bad, some like that sound some dont. Finding a good honest shop will help your project go smoothly. ..... This is my honest opinion with FI, not by experience but by what Ive read on both this forum and my350z. Dont get me wrong, I love going FI, its a total different car when done, but I dont think its for everyone, not just yet. .......... Good luck.

Just playing. If you aren't the type that likes to tinker, then find somebody else to deal with problems when they arise is always a good idea. Its no fun to have to bum rides everytime your car is acting up. My next mod is going to be a bike to get my a*s around

I sold my last bike, 02 R1 (modded) and I was going to get another one but like I said, I have always wanted a Turbo car. Twin Turbo. By "not wanting any problems," I mean that I would like to have a system where it's as if the car came turbo from the factory. Reliable, some more power... nothing crazy. I don't care about bragging rights or dyno numbers. I just want about another 100HP to the wheels with as little boost as possible, no lag and reliable.
I sat there for months and months look for somesort of FI system, I ended up with either APS TT or TN ST and the Vortech right behind them. TT's are great since I wanted some potential for more, but for a little more than half I could get the TN kit with the range that I wanted so I got that instead.
Looks like a vortech/stillen/tn kit would suffice for what you might be looking for. Twins are awesome, but they also carry a heavier price tag and alot more temptation to go all out. I think for quick power Stillen is great, but he hood just screws up everything, vortech is easy to install and relatively cheap, tn is the same just with more potential but slighty a little more risk as with the nature of turbos vs superchargers.
All said, I installed my tn kit in my driveway by myself with my limited technical skills.... good luck with your search!

I would recommend the Turbonetics S/T kit. BUT........Regardless of which kit you go with, I STRONGLY suggest saving up a couple bucks and going with internals first!!!! I am running the Turbonetics kit for about 5 months now and I primarily use the car for shows and daily driving. I don't beat on the car at all, and I threw a rod while driving 75 mph @ 2400 rpm. Freak thing...yes, but better to do a job once and forget it. If you spend $6000 on the kit, it will only run about $5000 more for a fully-built bottom end that will be ridiculously powerful and reliable. The kit is, however, very linear and highly powerful in stock trim.
Personally.....I would never consider either a single or twin turbo set up with out building the VQ motor.
I went with the SC because of the much gentler torque curve. It is the high torque snap with the turbos that break things.
I'm happy with my Vortech......but if I had it to do over again....I'd prob just keep it N/A and buy a faster car.
