Can Stillen SC take 05 Vette?

Ok guys, I need inputs and please don't tell me to look for search button
here's brief story....I was at my buddy's house drinking over the last weekend. He just bought a used 05 Corvette and kept bragging about how fast his car was and how many other car that he smoked...As some of you might know, I just upgrade to Stillen stage4 and so I was "not really happy" when he mentioned that he could beat my car. Out of nowhere (I guess some from the beer) I told him to bring his car to the track and we'll see who's spanking who (I don't believe in street racing) and also bet on dinner & beer ...he took the offer. I think his Vette is stock and he doesn't know much about my car or any G/Z. This will be the first time for both of us at the track....Now do you guys think that I can beat a stock 05 Vette? Any tips from your tracking experience would be appreciated....if I can beat him then I really want to put a bad spanking on his yellow a$$ vette

sorry if I post this in wrong forum...but I guess FI guys would be checking this forum more often....btw I have 05AT with stillen VB

is he stick or auto? if hes auto, you def have the advantage due to its gearing. with a manual you should still be able to beat him, but it would be closer

At the track I lined up with a 04-05 Vett. I beat him by 2 or 3 cars. The guy couldn't drive for Sh*t. I beat him by .2 in the 1/4 but he trapped 3 MPH faster then me. Just to show you how I did with an N/A G35. So as long as you can get an OK launch then you should win easily!

Warm up the tires. I reved to 2,500Rpms and kind of feathered out the clutch while giving 1/2 - 3/4 gas till I hooked then floored it.

Should be a pretty good race. By '05 Vette you mean C6 (newer one) right? Both of you are probably putting out around the same whp, but his car weighs a little less. I think the VB upgrade may be the deciding factor. Should be fun either way.

Then torque brake it... at the line. The C6 has an awesome traction control system that makes it hook up near perfectly every time (my dad has a C6 Automatic with exhaust), so you are going to have to match that as best you can. Stand on the brake with your left foot and press the gas with your right foot until you either start to move forward or start to spin the rear tires, then let off the gas a little bit. Right at the last yellow light, let go of the brake and feather the throttle so you don't get wheel spin.
