nitrous setup questions
ok, so i have a few questions about nitrous. Ive been reading up on this for a while and I just wnat to clarify a few things and make sure my plans are ok. btw, i have an 04 AT coupe
First, I want to be able to trigger the nitrous whenever i want, and only if i really need to in a race. so I was thing of combining a few switches, such as a rpm window switch 3000rpm to a little below 7000(so i dont trigger too early and so i dont spray through my gear shifts) and a toggle switch(so i can manually trigger the spray). Also, I was thinking of using a WOT switch as well just to give another criteria for my setup to meet before i can spray. Of course, id also have the fuel pressure switch, for safetys sake. So does this setup work?
Second, the bottle opener. I don't plan on getting this right away, but eventually I think I will get it. My question deals with the switch for it. do the sets come with a switch to open the bottle, or just the wires? do i need to but a switch to hook up to the bottle opener, and would a regular toggle switch work?
Third, where can I get a nitrous line filter? The last thing I want is my seleniods(sp?) getting stuck. Do I need a fuel filter as well? i think i do but i wanted to make sure.

yes the way you have written above will be fine. very safe. the switches for the bottle opener will be just like a regular toggle switch and you can use whatever switch you want, it will probably come with some ugly switch.
MOST importantly, the bottle warmer. nitrous works off pressure. this is the most overlooked thing for nitrous beginners. say your bottle is at 800 and you have the jets for a 100 shot. you might only have a 65 shot at that bottle pressure. if you were to warm the bottle up to 950- 1000 you would be using the full 100 shot now. i am running a 150 shot with my timing retarded and have a lot of nitrous experience. if you go to www.my350z.com and look in the nitrous forum you can have a lot of questions answered as well

ps you might want to look into a UTEC, you will be able to retard the timing, have 5 different maps on the fly, and it will set up a WOT, rpm window switch as well. you can datalog your runs and with the tuner wideband option datalog your AF ratio along with it

yup, with colder plugs and 5 degrees of timing taken out. also have the utec so if the car knocks at all it will immediately take out timing until it stops knocking...
