Could this be? it honestly really resembles the G coupe in terms of the bodys styling. Honestly, i am excited about this car. There have been talks in the past about a G25 and some really liked the idea (me being one).

Put either 3.5 or 2.5 VQhr and RWD and im happy.

Well...?

Say it ain't so! The reason why I love the G so much is because there's nothing out there that looks like it! The 350Z is similar, but this is too close for comfort. I was laughing when the New Lexus IS looks exactly like a Camry, but guess the joke will be on us soon.

I agree... Please don't release this. Nissan? You listening?

People won't say that the Altima looks like a G they will say that the G looks like an Altima. That will totally kill the appeal for the G. Not to say that the Altima is a bad car but there needs to be more of a differentiation between the G and any other Nissan Product. The Z is a fine comparison because it has a rep that is legendary.
If Nissan is absolutely going to release this, they should wait a couple of years after the next generation G is released.

^ They want to bring people over to the Nissan fold. They've been losing marketshare since the current products are near the end of their cycle. Introducing new models (esp one to compete against the Civic Si) will generate interest and gain marketshare.

I'm sure they will 'sacrifice' the G35 coupe sales for one year (at the end of its cycle run anyways)... but will regain it back when the 2nd gen G35 coupe comes out later in 2k7. The new G35c will be miles ahead in looks / styling / equipment over an Altima.

I was thinking the same thing, the Altima coupe may look slightly similar to the first gen g-coupe, but it wont look anything like the second gen g-coupe.
