Some people would rather sacrafice a few tenths of a second on the 1/4 mile or track and have a clutch & shifter for a more enjoyable drive (MT enthusiasts).
I completely understand the new technology and have no problem with it being implemented on every performance car on the market. BUT taking away an MT as an OPTION is almost an insult to those who enjoy throwing the shifter into gear.
Speed isn't everything. If im going to spend $70,000+ dollars, I would atleast expect a company to offer something that would please a big group of [MT] enthusiast drivers. Something about having all that power and not having a clutch and shifter doesn't sound right to me.

i drove the whole paddle shifting on a 335i and its effin boring! i understand the whole shift alot faster deal.. but its just not as fun as a mt gear box.. hope they make a gt-r like that soon
We should retrofit the GT-R with a 3rd pedal (non-functional) and add a stick to the center console and just pretend it works. So at redlights we can pretend we are driving a stick. Anyonw see a flat surface on the GT-R where I can mount the shifter?
