My G has a garage buddy

Well, I traded in my wife's POS 2006 Scion XA for a 2004 FX35 Fully Loaded Black on Black FX35. I bought the Scion for my wife since she was just learning how to drive; now that she can drive, I went ahead and hooked her up. I love the way the FX matches my G (2005 Black on Black 6MT).

Driving Impression (FX35)

Although it's not new (2004), it's in near mint condition. It rides excellent and it's really quick for an SUV. The factory Nav is pretty sweet but I need to hook up a DVD player to it (nothing like watching **** in the car...LOL). I love the aggressive style of the FX....I really couldn't ask for more.

The G is in the garage right now as I complete my new AVIC-D3 install..I'll post pics of both once my wife gets back from work (she has the camera).

Excuse my $hitty pics.....I just woke woke! Anyways, I love the FX and I love the way it matches my G.

The AVIC-D3 is totally sweet but you really have to do the bypass; without it, it's a pain in the butt.

That's cool. There's something about the FX when you give it a chance, it just feels right for some people.

Nav lock out when moving sucks, I wish it were easier to add double din to the FX.

Isn't there a really simple mod for that? There's a way to add a switch that disconnects the speed sensor from the Nav unit for when you want to put in a street address or something. Its either somewhere here or over at infinitifx.org. I've been thinking about doing that one along with the ipod mod, will let you know if I find any details.

I meant for the Pioneer, but yeah nav lock on any system sucks. Happy my Alpine is easily bypassed. I think http://www.kptechnologies.com/ might have something that works for that.

I'm actually putting in an AV switch and adding a DVD player for the wife.
