I use a single stage urethane... done a lot of calipers with this & it holds up very well, similar to the enamel the OEM's would use for calipers really. I've done one set a light yellow on a Z once & it held up fine too with no discoloring or anything from the heat, works well but you gotta get the calipers squeaky clean & sanded well, the prep will dictate how durable it is when your working on used calipers...

got an update,finished up the suspension redropping, modified the struts & the rear control arms, modified the rear suspension geometry a bit, added a coilover shock to add stability in the rear too, got the fx to handle much better than stock, had her on the track & she did very well, def ready for more power now

hey guys, what's up... just an update... I finally started my HR engine swap, I also decided instead of doing dual rotrex blowers, I will do a twin turbo install.I looked at all the kits available but I am not really so happy with the available twin turbo setups out there for the G's & the Z's. not that there bad at all, but they are designed around the limitations of the cars that they are designed for, limitations that the fx doesn't necissarily have.
the fx has a lot more room to play with & I can't help thinking that a twin turbo setup designed for the fx would be different than what is done on the g's & z's... for example the use of log manifolds... while yeah, they do get the job done they are also not really the best way to go for maximum performance, a tubular manifold that's equal length would be better, but of course there isn't enough room for that in a g or z... the fx is a different story. then there's turbo placement. the turbo's tucked down under the motor does affect the cold side plumbing in a negative way too, longer pipe runs & more bends all add up to more pressure drop & less efficency. the fx has room to put the turbo's in front of the motor, less pipe length & less bends, & also the fx is going to have more room for intercoolers than a g or z too..., in the end I guess I was just not happy with what was available for such big $$$ yet not what I really wanted anyway, so I decided to just build it myself
another thing with building it myself is that now I can pick & choose each design aspect & each component instead of just settling with what comes in a kit. I choose to use a pair of gt2860rs turbo's with tial v-band .83 a/r exhaust housings. I'm using a pair of tials newer 38mm v-band wastegates to control boost. this setup is good for 500-700 bhp. I expect to be in the lower part of that range... initial goals are for ~550 bhp, ~475 to the wheels... all 4 wheels as I'm keeping the awd setup for this too...
