I think there's something seriously wrong with me. I want to drive this thing...LIKE BADLY. I'm really not much of an SUV/Crossover type of guy but I remember when I first saw the '03 FX45 and went "holy s**t, that is the nutsest lifted sports car with a backpack I've ever seen." The 2nd gen looks totally b00ch. I'm not sure if I'm ready to leave the realm of stick shifts and sports coupes/sedans as I love my '07 G to death, but I sure as hell wouldn't have a problem kicking the GF into an FX50.

LOL! I say go for it. I think you can stand the rev matching slushbox for a little while.

Overall, I like the new design. I just wish they decided not to go with the side vents. The design would have been much cleaning had they not.

I must say I am starting to like the new FX.

The 7 spd auto with paddle shifters is sweet, should help with mileage and performance.
All the tech stuff is impressive.
Interior looks good.
The 5L engine , just wow. The 3.5 is a letdown, was hoping for a 3.7.
The fender side vents look horrid in chrome, would look much better body colour to blend in.

I am worried the price is going to skyrocket, at least out of my price range.

no one sees the good point of the VQ35HR over the 3.7 .... it sits a little lower in the engine bay for better handling (the FX doesn't need that weight at a higher center of gravity), and someone can mod the 3.5 very soon

i dont think prices will skyrocket... look at the 06 to 07 G sedan transisition -- it wasn't a big change at all
