New Infiniti in the garage.. 2009 FX35
Yeah, weird huh, on the grill.
Everyone who's not an Infiniti enthusiast seems to like it and much prefer the new car to the old one. Most of the Infiniti people pick at least one reason to try to hate it...
Same as with the g37 I guess. In a year or two things will be different.

Not to be rude, but did you lease or buy?
If you leased, do you mind revealing some numbers??
I'm waiting until next summer until I make my next purchase, either the G37xS or the FX35.....
Sweet vehicle btw! I saw some at my local dealership and fell in love, just haven't driven one yet.

Lease.
There was a $2,000 incentive from Infiniti on leases if you trade in your first generation FX. Beyond that we were sworn to secrecy by the dealership.

It's nice having a 2009 FX35 in the garage, except ours is Slate Blue with wheat interior. I think this is my first post, just wanted to say hey.

To the question of lease info. Infiniti has lowered its residual on a 39 month lease to 54%.
The $2000. incentive from Infiniti not only applies to a trade but also if you have purchased a another Infiniti within the last three years.
If you qualify for the Incentive and fall into tier 0 (best) credit rating, then the residual is approx $26000. This is a very good deal if you accept a highter paymen upfront and possibly buyout at the end. The cap cost and residual almost equal the purchase price. In other words, your lease payments plus the buyout in the end are close to the purchase price.
In my case the 39 month lease was $630.

Everytime I see the new FX, all I can think is, "why the hell did they put guppy gills on the quarter panels?!?!?!"
But it's a very nice suv, congrats! And you'll probably be good to submerge the car underwater!
