2004 Laser Red FX35

Hi all - new to the site. Been on an FX forum (Infinitiscene) for a long time, but I'm looking towards forced induction and since we share a platform, thought I'd have more luck finding turbo setups on this "cousin" forum. Glad to represent the FX population and I'm quite familiar with all the systems I have worked with on the FX. A lot transfers over to the G35. Here's a list of mods and some photos - hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Oh well, can't please everybody. If anybody is going to hate, it's on the grill or the wind deflectors. I like them so it's all good. I don't want to look like all the other FXs.

Laser Red was only offered in 2003 and 2004. The dealer told me there are less than 50 in the country. I know of eight others on various forums, a couple of which are FX45s.

Didn't know LR was available on the early FXs, look really good on it!

As the other guy said, not a huge fan of billet grilles. But it actually kind of suits the FX. What do you think about powercoating it black and keaving the emblem chrome? I think that would looks stellar (as well as painting inside your headlights)

I like the billet with the badge - totally unique and I really don't think the pictures do it justice. Looks better in person, IMO.

I've had a few suggestions for blacking out both the upper and lower grills, plus black powdercoating on the rims, door handles and rails. I could see that looking pretty good, but I need a high quality photoshop image. I like the luxury quality of the red/chrome and I feel like blacking out would change the flavor to something that's not as much... me.

I actually do plan on customizing the headlights - but I have two choices - go for blacked out or go for body color (LR). I had been leaning towards red, but if I did start to black out other things it would make sense to go with the blacked out headlights. Either version would have clear side markers (not amber).

Here's a photo of the headlight under development - the creator is making several sets and selling them to the FX community. I plan to be on that list.
