New wheels on the G, your opinion.

Sup guys.. We bought a set of Volk TE37 about a month ago (19X9.5, 10.5 +22) in silver. We didn't like silver but bought it anyway because its one of those deals that you couldn't pass up.

So, installed it and right away we knew it will not work. So we decided to send it to powdercoat (I know I know, re-powder coating a wheel that is forged alluminum is stupid but the wheels were never heated up). So I asked the guy to powdercoat it bronze and I chose what shade of bronze that I liked.

Last weekend, I lowered the car using Eibach springs and installed the newly painted rims.

Let me know what you guys think.. Because we have mix feelings about it. All of my friends think its too dark, I think so too, but when the car is moving it looks really really nice, exactly the way I wanted it (especially on the sides). I know what it needs is a a good body kit because right now the wheels look very aggressive, but the rest of the car is still luxurious.

Anyway, enough ranting:

What you guys think about replacing the center caps with this

to add a little color, you know.

Thanks guys.

niM

I think you're on the right track with the bronze (Volk CE28N in bronze will be my choice), but they do seem a bit dark.

Too dark for me, but then again, I've never subscribed to the whole "black wheel" trend.

Doesn't do the car justice.

Did a little photoshop of the Top Secret G35. This is what we're really aiming for. If only Top Secret wasn't sooooo expensive..

I like that color. I dont really like goldish wheels and these are more black so they look nice.

I'm not a big fan of bronze wheels, but your's came out looking sharp. Any lighter and they would seem gold. Do you have any pictures of what the silver looked like on the car? I just wish the car didn't have a spoiler, then it would be completely badass.

I think the crome / polished caps will take away from the clean look

too dark. I always believe there should be a contrast on tires and rims (body too). I think they would look fine if it wasnt so opaque (needs to be a bit more glossy). But thats just my taste.

I think it looks great, although a lighter bronze would look just as good. Paint one side light other side dark, yeaaaaaa.
