I had a speeding ticket that I went and did traffic school, but I got another one a month later. So I went to court and asked for traffic school and they gave me one. Try being nice to the judge.

Yes, fight the ticket by mail "Written Declaration". Here's the deal: You do the Written Declaration by mail. What's gonna happen is they most likely will say it's your fault (damn pigs) BUT they will lower your ticket to barely anything. This way, they won't clog up the courts. Now, you can fight the ticket in court AGAIN. So, the written declaration actually gives you two chances to fight the ticket. Another tactic is to keep delaying the process so that the PIGS will hopefully forget what really happened and then you can catch them in a lie (I did). That's about it.

Dont know if "written decleration" is same as no contest, but thats what I usualy plead. Not guilty will get you 2 days in court, one to plead, and one to appear and fight. Not worth it. Cops are required to show up now. No contest is not accepting guilt and will still require you to pay the ticket, but no points or record.

She didn't stop! WTF did you expect the cop to do? Award her a trophy?

The cop wasn't "chillin", he was looking for drivers like her who don't obey the rules. It's because people like her (and probably you) that fvcking insurance rates are in the skies.

I got my first ticket in the G yesterday. I was going about 65 or so in a 50. Funny thing is, my radar detector is in the glovebox, waiting for a new cord so I can hardwire it.

dang 99atlantic, sometimes there isn't an appropriate time for a joke just yet. she obviously is sad about getting her ticket, so all we can do is sympathize with her. i'm sure you fully stop 100% of the time.

PC, didn't know that's what you were calling me about. anyways, good luck with this. that must suck. take your attorney friend's advice. you're right, you have nothing to lose at this point. if you contest it, at least you got a shot. cause even if you lose, at least you tried, and you still end up paying anyways. you can also ask for a reduction in fine. that's what my friend does and she's gotten like 5 tickets within a span of 4 years i believe. i'll call you up later.

Irvine PD fvcking sux!!! I used to work in Irvine and they used to pull me over all of the time when I had my Civic. It got to the point that they stopped pulling me over because the same cop remembered me after pulling me over a couple of times and didn't bother anymore because he knew I was just going to work.

I admit cops can be a poo poo head sometimes, but if it weren't for them, you guys with suped up rydes would be creating chaos. You come to complete stop to avoid a ticket because if you had it your way, you'd do a rolling stop aka California stop. If you guys don't feel like obeying our laws, don't live here because there's a bunch of illegal immigrants out there who are willing to obey the law just to become U.S. citizens.

LMAO...here in Jersey two illegals got into an accident and neither had insurance. One got really hurt and had to go to the hospital. Then to cover his bills he sued the state, and the state supreme court sided with him. Now the LEGAL taxpayers have to pay for him! So don't give me that BS about illegal immigrants (who by definition are already breaking the law) obeying the law to become citizens.

Sympathize? LMFAO! Threads like this make my day. LOL..

Do I stop everytime? H#ll no. Would I blame anyone but myself if I got popped for what was an OBVIOUS violation of the law on my part? H#ll no. I made the choice. The cop only did what I gave them the OPPORTUNITY to do. My fault, not his. If I want to b*tch, I'd start with the person looking back at me in the mirror.

I crack up when I hear people whining about getting busted for what they themselves had the opportunity to avoid. If you don't want a ticket, don't break the f'in law. How hard is that? If you choose to do things 'your way' because you think the law is stupid or outdated, fine, just don't whine like a b*tch when you get caught.

Too f'n funny. More like this please.

I totally agree with the poster above me. I guarantee that there are probably so many illegal's that are driving around and if they get into an accident they will end up sueing someone for not giving them medical care or something since they don't have any type of insurance. It is ****ing BS how they do that **** and get away with it. My hard earned money goes to the well-being of illegals in this country when my family went through HELL to get legal permanent residency. Its not fair.
