Take it from me.
FOUR tickets in FOUR months.

2 of those were complete BS.

They shouldn't be called COPS.
They're campers.

UGH.

Miss Hustler, you DID do the crime.
But some pigs are just jealous and have womanly moments.
I'm sure the other car that was pulled over and let go wasn't as nice a car.

Good luck fighting.

To make your weekend better, eat some jokbal or sam gyup sal.
Chew on dat sheet REAL hard.

It'll make you feel better. Trust me.

Look at his thread on "Found an easy way to do the oil change! "

A trend of theirs is to round up cars and then issue each one a ticket (what happened to her). That is much different from an officer seeing you doing something illegal on the road and pulling you over. These bike cops like to wait near stop signs on the bottom of hills (whatever improves their chances of nailing you). They will also send pedestrians to cross the street randomly and anyone who doesn't yield (even though you don't get much of a chance to slow down before them) will be chased, and then written up.

Sorry missxhuslta, I feel your pain
LMFAO X 10..

Try driving in liberal Washington state with Texas tags on your G. Here on the Island, they'll write you for 2 over. 2 OVER! Know what I do? I don't drive 2 over, I drive 2 under.

If you know they'll write you for (lemme read here) passing a stop sign by 1/2" (impossible, but I clearly get your point) then (newsflash) DON'T PASS THE STOP SIGN BY 1/2".

You talk like SoCal is the end all of bad cops. I've lived all over the US and overseas in the 28 years I've had a license. From south Florida to Virginia to San Diego to Texas to Cuba - all over. All of those places have motorcycle cops. All of them ran speed traps, all of them issued 'block tickets' where they pull cars en masse and the whole nine. It's nothing new, and is certainly nothing native to SoCal.

Cops will only do what you allow them to. If you follow the law, you won't have a problem. My not having any tickets for over 25 years is a little bit of luck and a whole lot of CAUTION. Know what I mean? I make it a point not to break the law. Why? Because I don't like tickets and all the hassles and expense that come with them. If it means I have to err on the side of caution, then I will. I'm the driver, I have no one to blame but myself.

I find it absolutely hilarious that people blame cops for their misdeeds. Lots of folks here drive for years and years and never even get pulled. Then you have folks collecting several tickets a year - the OP has two in 18 months I think - something like that. What do you think the causal factor is? Seeing as how we all live all over the US and Canada, I doubt we can point at the all the different PDs and blame them. Responsibility lies behind the wheel.

Reading the OP, I can 'hear' the attitude that the cop probably heard that caused them to write the ticket. That, and it's possible that the cop remembered them from other incidents (the previous ticket perhaps) and wanted to make a point. We only have one side of the story. I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle of this version and the cop's version. In my experience, that's usually the case.

the part that pisses me off the most? IT'S THE SAME COP THAT GAVE ME MY FIRST SPEEDING TICKET a year ago. WHAT THE F*CK?!! seriously, what are the odds that the SAME cop pulls you over AGAIN?

so after he pulls me over, some other car did the same thing. he asks that guy to roll his window down, tells him to make a complete stop next time and LETS THE GUY GO. what the hell, right?

at least he didn't get me for my tint or no front license plate. irvine PD can go suck a d*ck. what a way to start the long weekend

** it's been less than 18 months since my last ticket, so traffic school is out of the question. so what are my options? is this ticket worth fighting? any advice would be appreciated **
For the record, when I was 16, I got two tickets in three weeks from the exact same cop on the same stretch of road. I'm completely serious.

He stopped me under the same Florida Turnpike overpass both times, and both times he wrote me for 65 in a 45. I was riding on Dixie Highway, US-1. It's a 4 lane highway (probably bigger now), grass median between each set of lanes, no traffic. I had a 1980 KZ750 Kawasaki, lived 7 miles from work, and would ride home, eat, and make it back in half an hour. 65 in a 45 was a gift. I was a little fvck, and I could make that bike freaking move... And I paid for it. Over and over and over.

Then I got a clue. Haven't had a ticket since. It's a choice.

I dont know if you've taken care of the ticket yet, but I went to court yesterday for a speeding ticket and the judge offered everyone who got there second ticket in 18 months traffic school. They want you to go to traffic school so they get more money. However the second one in 18 months made it a 12 hour class.

So there's 5 other cars already pulled over and the cop is giving them tickets and you *still* ran the stop sign? And then you call the cop a dick even after he let you slide on the front plate and tint?
