I do find the homelink in this car is very fussy though and does not operate nearly as well as the previous two vehicles I had with it. Almost every time it is used it takes repeated times to get my door to operate. Reprogamming does not fix it.
My last Homelink cars worked first time and from a much greater distance.

Do you just press the button and let go? I noticed for me I have to press and hold the button for 2-3 seconds, then my garage door starts to open. On my accord i just hit the button and the garage starts to open.

I think that would apply to any vehicle with a garage door opener in it. the "clickers" work the same way since they are battery operated.
