Seat Belt Chips Window

I know the seat belts cause a lot of people problems in these cars. Frankly I have not have a comfort issue as many do, but the problem I have had is that quite often when I am taking off the seat belt, the metal buckle hits the window in the driver door as I release it and it goes back. After 3 years, my window has numerous little chips on it!

Anyone else experience this?. I guess the Dealer might replace it, but the window is tinted and I would have to go get that redone also. Just another inconvenience!!

I don't have chips on my window but I have dented my aluminum door handles with the seat belt. They're small, but still visible if you look really close.

The door panel below the window has tons of little dents on both sides. I take care taking off the belt since I noticed it, but the same can't be said for my passengers sadly.

Maybe if you guys see this happening in specific area in your individual car you could do this:

get some clear bra material or clear vinyl overlay for these spots

don't flame me, it's just an idea

I also have little knicks on my door panel. Ever since I noticed this, I try to be a little more careful releasing it. I guess the '06 is an improvement in that regard since the seatbelt holder is now part of the seat (coupe) and the buckle now sits and rests on the seatback.
