+1, couldn't agree more.

When you are using a pressure washer on your G, you are taking a very BIG chance IMO. I would NEVER wash my G with a pressure washer......for the very reason you experienced.

Using a pressure washer for taking paint off a deck is good.....not taking paint off a G!

Good Luck man!

Look at the narrow pattern of paint that was taken off his G, his pressure wand definitely got tooooo close to his car. You put a pressure washer on any paint that close and it will do the same thing.....not just Infiniti paint.

judging from the pictures, it looks like a bumper. bumper = plastic and we all know (at least some of us) that paint will not adhere to plastic as well as it would metal. this is your own fault. just go to the dealer and don't tell them what happened so they can fix your screw up for free. lying is the thing nowadays, right? how does the phrase go? get something for nothing?

I use the pressure wash at the local hand car wash all the time, never, ever pull the trigger to get extra pressure using it on the car. Two washes after pressing the trigger, it will impact the wax CLEAR off of the car!!!

And while you're at it, stick your finger into that light socket to check if the bulb is really burned out.

PSI high enough to remove paint from your bumper is also high enough to cut your flesh wide open.

Read the damn precautions people.

I'd be inclined to try this, and then ditch the p/washer or at least stand back further.

Agreed. Never blast yourself or someone else with a pressure washer. They've cost people their eyes, ripped out toe nails, etc.

I use a lower pressure nozzle to hit the wheel wells and underneath the car.

I suspect the higher pressure nozzle took some paint off near one of the rear wheels. Although it is hard to tell, they look like chips and are in an area that probably gets hit often. In any case, I've done my best to fix the imperfections and I haven't used it (the high pressure one) since.

No MACHINES!!!! Our baby Gs require soft supple HAND washing and detailing to gently massage dirt and debris off of the smooth and sensual clearcoat. Aren't you HOT for your G? Go give her the wash that she deserves... LOLZ...

Yeah, don't put your hand under the pressure washer. Pressure washers put out an extraordinary amount of psi just like paint sprayers for painters. Water or paint injected into the skin might have a chance to make it into your blood stream = possible death.

Wow that sucks.

Seems like the pressure was strong enough to remove tagging off sidewalks. Well maybe not that strong but I would never use a pressure washer on my car.
