Only airless spray systems pose this risk. Sprayers hooked up to compressors don't pose injection risk.

Back in the day, my buddy used a pressure spray on his Eclipse and the water got under the clear coat and created a bubble the size of his whole passenger door. Looked like the car was peeling, (like Elmer’s glue)

Same thing happened to me, but i left my car at a car wash and when i came back this was there. I think they put it through the auto rolling washer. I tried to talk to the manager but all he said was "it must have been there before you brought it in."
Being a G35 owner, I KNOW my car's every inch. How much is this going to cost for me to fix? Should I take it to an Inifiti dealership?

Looks like the wrong nozzle was used. You should only use the flat nozzle & keep your distance. I usually use the pressure washer to clean my wheels mostly. I occasionally use it to wash my car, but I only use the flat nozzle and I keep my distance. My pressure washer can eat through concrete & asphalt.

Don't let him get away with that crap.....Get it fixed and tell him he's paying for it, or perhaps he'd like some nasty advertising for his business??

p.s sorry about the size of the photo. I dont know how to resize it =(

*updated*

Went to the dealership, and I told them that i was just using the hose to spray my car and they pretty much said that sometimes if i get a light scratch, but not enough so that the paint comes off, air bubble could get caught under the paint, thus causing the paint coming off =(. And they kept on saying its a scratch. I am pretty sure they think i m lying =/...

o well...what solutions are there?
Dude cars were designed to be weather proof....not water proof. You dont take a shower with a pressure spray do you? why do it to the G?
Im really not a fan of warranty claims like this, its probably why Infiniti is having trouble trying to fix the real claims. Why dont you drive your G into the sea and come back to Infiniti and tell them theres water intrusion into the cabin? Just becase the local carwash has a pressure spray dosent mean you have to use it.

i couldn't disagree more. if you buy a 40k car, you shouldn't have to be afraid to go to your local car wash and use their pressure sprayer. i have hand washed my car every time, and don't have this problem, but i should have the option of going through a drive through or bay wash and wash my car without having the paint fly off. i''ve come within 5" on a civic bumper to get bugs off and this kind of thing never happened.

it seems to be an adhesion problem on the urethane pieces. this is definitely a factory paint issue and should be taken care of by the dealership...and in the case of the silver one pictured above, just order a new rocker cover painted from the factory under warranty.

Did the OP ever say what type of pressure washer he was using? Electric or gas powered? I mean, there are many different levels of pressure. They even use water pressure to cut plate steel!

I've used a small electric pressure washer designed for washing cars many times without any problems. I still make sure not to get too close (6 inches is about as close as I like).
