My coupe 6MT just doesn't seem to pull as hard as the loaner? Whats up with that? I even have the MREV+ on my coupe. I'm a little dissapointed, anyone have any explanations?

What year was the loaner? I haven't driven the manual or the coupe but I get the impression that these cars are more the same than different.

IMHO I think it's just the suspension on the (non sport, loaner) sedan is more tuned for a soft ride so you get thrown back more when the weight shifts from accelerating giving you the impression that it's waaay faster when it's basically the same.

He has MREV so he should have more horsepower and torque. Maybe you have a leak from an incorrect installation.Originally Posted by Socal_G_sedan

mm i have dynos which proved a huge gain in hp and torque so it can't be wrong installation.
236.x rwhp 229 ft/lbs tq
I floored both and the 5AT sedan definately pulls harder
the loaner is an 06 sedan

You are not alone, i noticed that the sedan loaner I had also pulled a lil harder than my coupe. I think the 17 inch wheels ( effectively running a shorter gear), less weight ( yea they weigh less than a coupe ) and the fact the tranny has "learned" the pedal to the floor driving style results in better acceleration.
but the difference shouldn't be that big... the difference was pretty astonishing for me.

The only way to know if it's just perceived difference or for real is to take the loaner to the track next time :P
