Well this is definatly good to know, though I will certainly try not to jump into a pool with my keys in my pocket.

I had the same thing happen to me last year!!!

GF pushed me into the pool. Stayed in pool since it was soo hot out..

I was wondering why I felt so heavy under water.. Needless to say.. I had my big *** ring of keys and my cellphone in my pocket.. Phone is deal...

I run out and hit the FOB... it worked!!! Started the car ok with the key also!!

if you guys knew what you were doing and bought a nokia. You'd not turn it on expecting it to work and instead open it up and let it dry. I draged mine into the hot tub cuz i was wasted (bc of the hot tub) then I made the mistake of turning it on and quickly i turned it off. let it dry. Now it works like new. Granted I spent about 30 dollars getting some spares, but its better than spending 300 for a new one. rule of thumb, don't turn it back on till it dries.

back to topic, good to know the key fob is water-proof

Wish I could say the same for my Intelligent Key...
I washed the key in my jeans pocket the other day and wet out to see if it worked and nothing... I even put it into the HOT sun to dry it and nothing. Had to get another from the dealer.
