this may seem insane but i tried it and it works. if you are too far from your car to un/lock it with the remote, put the remote up to your throats voice box and press the button. your voice box will magnify it and un/lock the car. dont believe me??? TRY IT!!!!!

Not only does that work, but try this as well:

Walk away from your car until you're out of the effective range of the fob.

Place the key fob to the area of the throat right under your chin, and raise one of your hands. Press the button.

It increases the range significantly. I'm scared to think what it's doing to my brain. Maybe THAT'S why I'm such a dick...

haha, it really works. I keep telling people about this and they brush it off but the voice box thing doesn't work. it sounds too funny to be true.

I heard that the range is increased becuase of the fillings in your mouth. Has anyone on here that doesn't have any fillings in their mouth tried it?

I work as a rental agent and my boss always tells me that if you put the keyfob up to your chin it uses your body as an antenna... not sure about the whole voice box thing though....

Chin trick works well. It was tested on MythBusters. Try touching it to your forehead too. That works even better

heh, I tried this. I live out in a rural area so nobody saw me

Anways, when I was just out of range at hip level if I raised the fob to my chin it worked. That being said, it worked if I held it up high or high and to the side. I think it's the height that matters. Not the jaw

try walking out of range w/fob above your head...then stick it to your chin and see if your car unlocks.

You think that works, try bending over and putting the remote on your butt cheek and humming.

wanted to see if anyone would do it.
