Hey guys i just purchase an 03 g with 58k on it and noew only have about 900 miles till the factory warranty is up on all but the powertrain, so far the car seems to be in ecellent shape, but after reading some of these post im strting to worry about things like, the window issue and breaks, ( im having the cd player replaced tommorow for that damn error) anyways im wordering should i try to get the dealership to replace the windows before the warranty is up, is there anything u guys think is should complain about and try to have them replace before the coverage runs completely out?

i don't think you can still buy an extended warranty so late.

as long as you're still under warranty, you should be ok.

Don't bother with the warranty. Consumer reports has shown that it really is not worth it. Most things that break you can fix much cheaper than paying for the warranty. If you do get it, read the fine print to see what is covered. You might be shocked. You may not get true bumper to bumper on an extended warranty

I've had quite a bit of problems with my g after the warranty expired. i've already spent about $800 bucks on the car (new window motor, new seat heater switch, etc) I have to spend an additional 500 to fix the passenger seat motor. but i think i'm gonna let the next owner fix that one. get the warranty.

My 4 year warrenty is running out in two days. I have no idea what an extended warrenty would cost but I'm assuming it's a signifigant chunk of change. I'd rather put the cost of an extended warrenty in to a savings account and deal with problems if and when they happen.

my dealer is charging 2200 for extended warranty - but thats only if the car has under 6k miles on it (aka new condition)

after 6k miles the ext. warranty is cheaper - BUT it will only be extended to 75k miles (and i forgot how long time wise)

it gets cheaper and cheaper as the car gets older - but you get what you pay for (aka less coverage when you get it later..)

does any of that make sense..?

eh i tried..lol

Negotiate the extended warranty. I got mine from Grubbs Infiniti for $1344. Its no deductable and good until 100k miles. Its the official Nissan/Infiniti extended warranty.

Try to get a 60K mile service right before you hit 60K and i think they do most of it under warrenty
