The trunk button is on the rear of the car by the left tail light. You push it to unlock the trunk (as long as you have the fob with you) - same as the doors.
I never use the buttons on the fob, it's always in my pocket.

If you have an intelligent key (i-key, ikey, whatever), you've got the sleek keyfob and integrated key. If you don't have one, you've got the standard key.

The picture they offered was of a different design from the key featured in the current G35 series.



On this fob, you'll find lock, unlock, trunk, and panic buttons, all adjustable and programmable by your dealer.
